Who says we dont? I guess I cant speak for every woman, for I am me, and I dont understand this gender of mine anymore than the next guy. Uh, anyway...I like a man in the military. It has nothing to do with looking good in uniform; in fact, I dont really find it attractive at all. Not that its a turn off, its just not something I see and say "Yeah, baby!" (not that I really ever say that anyway.) I am not very "go america" but I do support our troops. I have plenty of friends that are enlisted and an uncle who just retired (he was told to unless he wanted to go back over for another year or more). Being in the military would never be a reason that would make me think twice about being with a man. However, smoking/tobacco of any kind and excessive drinking would, and even though its a stereotype (I hate stereotpyes), I know that it holds true in some cases.

For most women, I think its the fact that they couldnt be a "military wife" or being afraid they will go off to war and get killed or something.

I think many women are interested in military men but it takes a special kind of woman.

One who is not afraid to be alone alot of the time. Even in times when there is no war, military guys are often away on training or on excersizes.

One who can handle the stress that military life means.

One who can deal with being picked up and moved to another location again and again.

One who, if there are children involved can deal with being a parent alot of the time on their own.

I've tried it and it wasn't for me. Everytime I landed a job and made friends we had to relocate, "again". Even when getting to a new home and out job hunting I was confronted so often with the statement, "So...you're married to military?" (Meaning, they don't really want to hire someone who may at anytime have to move).

The hardest part for me was losing my independence. I was no longer in control of where I lived or where my career would go because ultimetely, I had no opportunity to expand or stay in a job long enough to develop my skills to the point I needed.
You'll find someone who will fit your lifestyle CW...just give it time. :)

Hey Corp Wiley235, where in the heck do you live or go and get these reactions?? I always hear, see, or read of women that love military men. I am a big supporter of our military, dad was a marine, grandpa was navy, a fiend in the air force, and a best friend in the army (in Germany now, but going to Iraq soon). I've never come accross any guy in any branch of the military, have this problem.

I don't mind a military guy. I'd probably have even more respect for a military guy than one who's never been in the military. I think guys look hot in uniforms, because of that reason...they respresent something bigger than ourselves.

I am speaking from exsperience as a women that dated a military guy for last three years up to about two weeks ago. And i will say I never for a moment worried about him possibly dieing i liked having him in my life anyway. What i did not like was all the drinking and the stupid things he did when drinking when on leave. I got to admit I would date another military guy if they clicked with me and did not have alchol dependency as a monkey on there shoulder.

it takes years to deprogram the disgusting attitudes and corrupted software the gov. uploads into young naive boys as they enter the armed services.....


what mother in her right mind would give up her son to these maniacs let alone take one into her bed as a lover/ partner / parent!!!!??????
