Start looking for red flags right away. Have been hurt very badly in the past not to.
Not telling the truth. Always looking at other women. Vague on his martial/living status. What they did that day. Cancelling plans at last minute.
Lying, cheating, being jealous, overly possisive.
I will go so far as to breaking up with the person even if I really do like/love him.

Those are indeed some very serious red flags to pay attention to! I have also found another red flag to be, if sharing phone numbers, if they only give you a cell number and no home or work number...Also, if they are only available at certain times and not other times, it seems suspicious.

After having been in several bad relationships I start looking for red flags right away.
red flags for me...
doesn't have any friends.
doesn't like my friends
drinks too much
my friends & family don't like him
can't keep a job
doesn't own anything (house,car,etc...)
wants to spend all his free time with me & only me
(I need my space)

Yep, people ingnore red flags at their own peril - but they often do and live to regret it - if it doesnt feel right, even just a teensy bit then dont go rushing in

I look for red flags right away.
Glaring red flags would be no pic, won't tell their real name, never allowing me to have their number or telling me to call between certain hours. They hide where they live. Only can see you during daytime hours. Time limits, never being on time.
I will not accept someone who uses drugs.
I will not accept someone who drinks to get drunk.
I will not accept any name calling.
I will not accept lies.
I will not accept being number 10 , I am number one or nothing.
I will go as far as walking away from the relationship to never look back if any of the above is broken.
There are plenty of good men , I don't need to take one that doesn't respect me.
This maybe the reason why I am still single.
