ok, so you are living in another country named Greece....
What are you talking about? O.k. in this country most of us are "underpaid" and overqualified for the jobs that we do..and of course the health system could be better, the environment more taken care of etc., problems that other countries have as well, all over the world....
But as far as the culture, or the way of life is concerned, Greece is
And...we have never started a war....at least not in the 19th, 20th or 21th century that is....
Greece has culture...But if we live in cities it's difficult to see!!! Also at least you don't have to pay to go to the Univrsity....Also culture has very deep roots in Greece...Nothing can change that....

This is an interesting thread. My answer to the original question is "yes, I would relocate". We don't always chose who we find true love with. I would just like to make sure I could come back home to my family when I'm needed. I do have interesting places to visit.
What a lot of Americans forget is that our ancestors did come from other countries. I grew up listening to the stories about my great-grandparents but never from where they came from. Due to immigration laws of the time, the family just didn't talk about it. I was a curious child and I've never outgrown it. Years of genealogy study on my family has left me with many more questions unanswered.
As far as poverty and education goes, it's here in the USA, too. And then, add in the various culture diversity that has been carried on from generation to generation. The one thing that today's Americans have in common with our ancestors is we do try to work hard to improve life for future generations (well, the vast majority of us).
Last year, I questioned myself if I could actually live outside of the US. So, I traveled to the UK for a week. My goal was not to look so much like a tourist but could I fit in. I did fairly well as long as I didn't open my mouth and when I did speak to people, most were very accepting and we found we actually had common interests. If it wasn't for the fact that my language skills is limited to English only (won't depend on my high school French that so many years ago), I would try another country. I really thought of traveling to Poland this summer but airfare is just too much at the moment and my friend hasn't moved yet. What I have found is people are people, regardless of where they live. They have emotions and feelings like everyone else. It's a common thread throughout humanity.

Greece is the only country in the whole civilized world where the drivers DO NOT stop and keep driving when the pedestrians are supposed to cross the road with Green light (GO). Nobody cares about that and nobody does nothing to change that. This is just one of the myriads of facts that reveal the high standard of modern Greek culture. It has nothing to do with money but with human integrity and mutual respect.
If you, dear country fellows, wonder why I still live in this country, the answer is simple. Only because of parenting and other OBLIGATIONS.

If I were in love with that person yes with certain exceptions.
I would not live in NYC as there is a large Bulls eye on that part of the country. I would not live in California as the cost of living is way too high. So basically that is my only stipulations.
Two things I like about Greece....didn't they give us psychology and they love Bill Clinton. One thing I don't understand from my experience on a Greek site...the majority of men who were over 30 into 40's had never been married. But they do seem to have good phylosphys on love and life but maybe a lot of fear. Maybe it is all those greek myths/fantasy
