If i picked her up and we went for a great meal were the conversation was brill, we both felt comfortable in each others company she did not get up to go to the bathroom every five minutes with her bag and friend she left standing outside so that she does not have to go to the bathroom alone lol, then we went for a nice walk where it ended with a soft amazing kiss.
baseball game, ballpark hotdogs with extra relish...followed by coffee at some out of the way diner and the conversation so good we lose track of time....sweet kisses goodnight and a promise whispered "talk to you tomorrow"

hey ladies...I guess maybe I shoulda read frist lol....anyways from what Im reading I think that we all have pretty much a good ideas..I really liked the idea of going for coffee and talking till we lose time...a kiss and a promise to talk to you to later...from what I can see from this post alone "and Im new here" we are sticking together...I like that...
My first date would have to be romantic,it would start with being picked up in a white carriage,a single rose soft romantic music, red wine,or white depends on her Dinner for two,a Movie,a slow ride home under a velvet canopy of stars, soft kisses goodnite, promises of tomarrow.
For me...first date is best to be FUN with the tease and flavour of romantic spiked in....perhaps intensifying a bit as you're ready to part...leaving each wanting more...

I prefer a fun first date - bike riding, long walk, bowling ( don't laugh it can be fun) playing pool, horseback riding, attend a concert where you can dance Dating, especially first dates, is stressful. Having an activity can help break the ice. Hold the reigns of romance until after you've gotten to know him a little better. Works for me.
A perfect date to me consists of good talk, mutual entertainment, and something to eat, combibe that with good rapport and there ya go..does it for me!
I don't think a movie is a good first date, If ya wanna get to know someone. It should be fun and if interested then alittle romance too, depending on the person I guess. If conversation is good and attraction is there then leave the romantic stuff for later. For me, dinner and drinks, see where it goes from there.
I think the first date should be something fun, maybe renting a canoe for an hour or so, a picnic and then a long walk that would lend the opportunity to hold hands, continue talking and maybe even a kiss or two.

I'm going with the fun. If you are interviewing a potential "mate" then you should discover what life is like outside of the romance. Now, don't get me wrong, she would see that chivalry is not dead, because us Southern men know how to treat a lady. Make her laugh, but not act like an idiot, hold her door but not her hand until it is offered. Leave her at ease at the end of the evening with a soft, sweet kiss and a gentle "goodnight, hope to see you again". If I'm walking on the same air that she is, it's been a great first date.
I believe both will exist in the perfect first date...and one cannot describe what it would be since romance and fun are both spontaneous. Both, for beautiful balance......
