Unfortunately, you seem to consider yourself something superior to the Maltese. I'll just point out, that whilst most people were still living in Prehistoric times, the Maltese were already advanced. If you've ever heard of Hagar Qim, il-Ggantija, etc etc, you'll know what I mean. If you haven't heard of them, well its time that you do some research. And no don't bother asking me to give you any details, as I won't help out anybody who belittles my home country.
Please note that there are countries that are much larger than Malta, who's history dates back to less than 300 years. Malta's history goes back thousands years.

hein? is French and = innit? in some contexts or it can mean "what?" if you give it a different intonation or it can mean "you gotta be kidding" if you give it yet another different intonation 
Usually used when English would use a question tag: isn't it / don't you/would she/won't she/ dind't I etc ....
but can you pick your nose and say 'hein' at the same time? (how heinous a crime that would be, innit?)

Lisajane ..... you got a new fan ... ME! How I admire a spunky girl who says it like it is. I wanted to use your expression but was too cowardly .... being old makes one not too brave I think? I find it just so refreshing when someone here finally Slams the Door, or Gives the Sword a Thrust, so to speak, when someone is being realy stupid and annoying especially when they cant hold an argument in a cultured and intelligent manner....
