personally i belive if you own a tv, have seen a bush speech, and still think his IQ is over 90 you need to go hang yourself. whoever said ignorance is bliss didn't intend for it to run our country.

Collin Powell's time has come and gone. In 2004 he would have had a shot at the pinyta but now, with everything that has come to light about how the United Nations were duped into Iraq etcetera his chances at international diplomacy are just about shot ( no pun intended ). However a Rice-Powell ticket might turn some heads, if the egos of some of Washington's elites and special interests can be appeased.
It's still a toss up.

I guess for evaluation purposes, one could compare Bush against Lyndon Johnson or maybe go back to Millard Filmore, but somehow I don't think today's issues were relevant in 1839 Call me goofy? confused

Oh...check Kerry's GPA against Bush's.... laugh

That may be so...but the question was askeds who would I choose, and he is the only one I would vote for..rather than voting against a candidate because they were the worse of the two evils. There was a time that I thought McCain was a viable candidate, but he has lost his credibility. The bottom line is, I don't see anyone that I would really want!!

And I refuse to get into any arguments by those that are only here to push buttons!!

I try to find the lesser of two evils, but it seems that in doing that I almost always end up voting for a democrat. Personally I think that our two party system is BS. Yes I know there are more than just two parties on the ticket when you vote, but the Libertarians, Greens and independents will never have a decent shot at the presidency with the way things are now. I think there needs to be something to even out the money that candidates spend on their campaigns because most people don't even realize that there are other candidates in an election, much less know what the other candidates stand for. Just a thought.

Gee, I didn't realize there were still Millard Fillmore fans out there.
Who knew? laugh

Self control is a wonderful thing....there's nothing I've seen on any of these threads that pushes my buttons at a personal level; just lively bantering.

If one scrolls back, I think most of my posts expand discussion, not close it down.

I'm glad the moderater deleted my prior post, even though it was non-attacking. It shows that CS moderators aren't a part of that vast right wing conspiracy as was posted on another thread....and that they're fairly objective.

grin

Now excuse me while I go look outside for the black helicoptors flying over.....rolling on the floor laughing

some are so closed minded ..refering to the party line crap. its you either bush loyalists (Republican), or clinton (Democrat) which sadly is what they want us to do.

I think is an atrocity that our elected representatives are that like minded instead of representing the citizens when its time to vote, they represent the political party instead.
Party line voting is devastating to the American citizen. even those that don't vote are having as much say as those of us who do "None".

and that is scary.

if one reads the purpose of this thread was to state that there are people who are neither Bush nor Clinton supporters. That was the reason the thread was made. If is my wish that people would have a more open mind, and realize that there are people who see others as good political leaders

But it has become apparant that if I person speaks out against GWB, the first response seems to be, well what did Clinton do! To speak out against one "leader" does not mean you support any other particular "leader". That is even the title of the thread.

I reported a poster, because he is stalking and harrassing me with his comments, and that is why he was deleted!

its always the same, the current leader isautomatically judged/compared to his predecessor. when Clinton held office it was the same and when Ford held office and when Kennedy held office and when Carter held office. all leaders.
you did not like/care for neither. which is fine

perhaps when speaking of this topic. you should state simply I did not and do not care for Clinton or GWB.. people assume things... the most common denominator and all that.
