Being an ignorant redneck is cool these days. If people refuse to educate themselves as to how they are manipulated by the corporations, I have no sympathy when their children are blown up by an IED in the furtherance of private sector agendas executed by public sector resources.

I know what it looks like from abroad......
However, in my humble opinion, our Media in general is not necessarily bias, (with the Exception of a Network whose name is identical with an ANIMAL from the canine family and, one must acknowledge, owned by an Australian Individual)
but rather, it is sensation & ratings driven and, more commercial than journalistic, if you will...
Journalism is an idealistic and noble profession. But Media is a commercial entity, a money making corporate machine, not the respectable institution it once was...

I see the media as not much more than a tool of whoever is in power these days - its a sad sign of the times when money is its own moral judge, jury and executioner - and sensationalist distractor too - sad
