Do you believe that so called 'beautiful people' hold themselves in some sort of superior light?
I mean, we're bombarded with images of what is considered beauty...the films we watch feature highly attractive actors, magazines are smothered with images of what we shold aspire to...beautiful people 'seem' to get on in the world etc.
If you went for a job interview with similarly qualified and experienced people, it's well known that the most attractive is more likely to get the job.
Is society so superficial as to have led 'beautiful people' to consider themselves 'better'?
You think about it. It starts at school. There is always the little clique of girls and boys who are traditionally good looking. They are the crowd that everyone aspires to be part of. It just goes on from there.
It isn't fair, but sadly that is the way the cookie crumbles.
Anyway, I always wondered why I got every job I went for!
terrific example, my son and his girlfriend....my son is handsome (of course I would say that, I'm his mother...) , but his girlfriend is absolutely gorgeous...took him about 2 weeks to find a job (in the same industry-him having much more experience...), took her about 2 minutes...yup, looks matter.
beauty is in the eye of the beholder but popularity seems to be played from afar!
No matter what WE may think of ourselves, it always boils down to an outside opinion. So much so, that many have become reliant on outside concepts to sculpt our very image. Since it's a game of action & reaction, we simply have to control our personal reactions to it in order to limit it's power.

Firstly, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, secondly, we can't stereotype.
People are who they are, beautiful or not. Could we ask if unattractive people hold themselves in some lower light? No, maybe not. Confidence is seen in all kinds of people and normally misintepreted by those who differ perhaps.
There are good and bad people with all kinds of personalities whether tall, thin, overweight, black or white.
Beauty isn't a privilege to the beautiful however it shouldn't be made a tragedy by the less unattractive either.
As far as you know what matters and have it in place ... the rest is just worldly and sperficial. Its good to be good looking but thats just about it. Nothing more.
I think, our society is affected from film, magazines etc. In some rangers are beautiful ppl prefers. Look at all the beauty industrie, Diets, cosmetic operations. That´s crazy. Why would the whole world look same?
But for these beautiful ppl is it sometimes very hard. I have friend, which looks very good. And she is very alone. No guy want respond, because they are " scared" of her good look. The only guys which calling her are players. And many ppl expect from her, that she has to be allays perfect. Thats the other side.
But by the way, I think our world is very superficially.
