You hit the nail on the head. You have to go out and find what yu want, because it will never just show up at your door.
I also believe people are just waiting for the perfect person...there is no such thing. We are all human and all of us have some problems or another.
There is no Prince Charming or Miss America to knock on your door. If you find someone who you are attracted to, similar interests, and treats you nice, you are WAY ahead of the game.

I think that depends on who you are, and I think posting on the forum greatly increases your odds. For someone who has a sense of humor, is nice to look at, and posts regularly to the forum, I'd place the odds as close to 50%.
To me, distance is the most likely killer of romantic possibilties here. If only we could all teleport...oh the fun so many of us could have!

I tried that knockng on the door once... damn radio show was talking taking chances, and risks and "going for it".
While on the way to friends house I saw a most beautiful woman and I stopped, turned around ,parked and knocked on her door....
She did not find my "go for it" attitude to her liking, minute later I was on my way to friends house. 3 minutes later three of the city's finest (police) had questions for me. All ended well but to sum what the Sargent in charge said I should arrest you for being stupid. Doing some dumb stunt like that."
We all laughed after they drove away.
Point is,I totally agree...
