Depends on the note with it.
Some notes do not require a response.

I send and receive flowers to/from women all the time. I think it's cool. Why not? Wouldn't give flowers to a woman friend? I do ...

You interpret them by how you feel. And you respond if you feel inclined to do so.
The sender will send for many different reasons. From thanks and i'm sorry; all the way down the line to "Here are some flowers will you jump into bed with me"
It is a safe pre communication method and later on it is the equal of a quick txt saying "Hi is everything OK"
Relax at least your beig acknowledged and if the other way at least your advertising.

I've gotten a few flowers and I NEVER UNDERSTAND WHAT IT meant on the womans side when she sent one because I don't usually get flowes in ther real world,but I thinkit's a nice gesture,and I'll usually respond with a flower back.
