Just a quick plug for the Marines' Toys for Tots campaign... When you're out doing your Christmas shopping, consider adding a little something extra to your shopping basket. I don't know where the drop-off locations are in the States, but you should be able to find out online or through tv ads or something. Take an unwrapped toy (or two or three) for a child who won't otherwise have much of a Christmas. I've seen this program carried out to its ultimate end and I know that this is one campaign where you don't have to question the honesty of the activity. And if you have never done this sort of gift-giving (anonymously), believe me....you will feel great doing it! I probably had more fun picking out the toys than the children will have playing with them! Semper Fi and Ho Ho Ho!!
Excellent suggestion - this is a pretty front-and-center program around here (local bases?)...in fact, I think there's a drop box down in the lobby here at the office.
the toys for tots is a real popular thing around here...since mid nov adds on the tv have been going and even the schools send out info and the kids are participating. thanks for reminding everyone...
Thats one of the many charities my work supports. They have a drop off in the building that will be taken to one of the many drop off locations around town.
