I did choose another career just recently, am getting out of infosec and going into chemistry - starting college for my PhD in chem this winter semester.

As to why? I feel as if things aren't as they were when I first started. It gets to the point that when work is over I don't feel like going anywhere near a computer and the stress level is quite high just the same. I would rather have something different that's alot lower stress-wise, and I feel that I am more than capable of handling the demands of those that will be teaching it to me.
