it's been over 40 yrs since it happened, but my son's father walked out on us 2 weeks bfore his son was born and it still hurts sometimes.
my son did get to finally met his father shortly after his 21st b'day.
my son told me when he got back he was glad he finally met the man, but he never wanted to see him again.

I don't know the official percentage of the chance of getting pregnant during menopause but 30 years ago I was alabor and delivery RN and the staff was made up of 40 nurses and in a 6 month period 5 of them all in their late 40'shad babies .

single mom here too Wikked. Not only did he not see her for New Years, but Christmas either! He moved to another state on Dec. 7 to be with his new girlfriend, but promised our daughter and his two kids from his second marriage that he would come to see them all every two weeks...almost a month later and he has yet to surface in these 3 kids' lives. Mine got a phone call on Christmas eve, I don't know if her little sisters did. Not only did he not call since Christmas, he also missed the week of visitation he is suppose to have over vacation! Maybe she will get her Christmas present from him before April...when she got last Christmas' gifts......that the girlfriend before this new one picked out for him...having never met my daughter. At least he was nice enough to tell all his kids and family that he was moving 600 miles away....the week before he moved...sheesh even him company had more notice that he was leaving.....as I received a notice from them about my daughter's health insurance being cancelled as of Dec. 7, 07....it was nice of them to let me know he quit his job. LOLSorry for the long rant, but nice to know my ex isn't the only jerk out there......what did we see in them?

he hasn't spoken to our daughter for almost 2 years as they had a fall out, she is now 14 and wants her to aplogise (PRATT) does not pay any maintenance for any of the children and still expects me to be civil to him,
to top it off he has just gone on holiday for a month, leaving me with a very confused son, who can't figure out why his dad has left him
