Well I have never been know to keep my comments to myself, and I might not be Mr. popularity for it but that’s cool with me.. I would NEVER vote a Muslim into any office, and personally to those who say its racially profiling, oh well, cry to someone who cares. When 99% of suicide bombers are Muslim that’s not profiling its FACT. I do not like any of these people, nor will I in the future. Honestly I would love to spend an hour telling them what I do to their Koran in my free time. Just my personal opinion but I think its justified for any American not to like these people.
generally speaking, snipers, serial killers and killers of children in our schools as well as domestic terrorists are more white than any other race......jat
There's little doubt in my mind that the GOP would love for Obama to make it - he'd be easier to defeat with some the mindsets demonstrated in this thread.
Not saying anyone is wrong here, and in fact, it's more-or-less expected given his background.
If you want a better idea of what he might do as President. Take a look at his voting record on key issues. That might help.
But also consider his stated positions. He has made a lot of comments of how he did not support the Iraq war.
My question then would be, how would he handle someone like Sadam Husien? Or would he? Or just let Sadam and his sons do their thing with little opposition?
He has stated that he will fight terrorism. But does he define it narrowly or broadly? Bush has a very broad definition of it. Where is his definition of it? Does he see say a Muslim charity with funds going to terrorist, a group to shut down or to just monitor?
I realy began to listened for the first time to him closely after the Iowa win. He is dynamic and visionary. He wants to unite Americans. His age, makes him a potential force in American politics for a long time coming.
I have known Muslims that I would trust and those I would not. If he is hiding a Muslim past, it will come out. And his politic power will largely end for the most part. Right now I would give him the benefit of the doubt and let the investigative reporters to thier work.
Is does seem to me easily enough to find out if he did take his oath of Senate office with the Bible, or with some other text or with out any. That is public information by the way.
After graduating law school, he worked for a Church based organization that aided homeless the Chicago area. This according to his bio at his website.
This is prior to his becoming a IL State Legislature.
The point? Well not very likely right out of college one would associate with a 'Church based organization' and work with homeless persons, if one was Muslim.
don't bother yourself too much about it all.....opinions expressed on CS, while being true to themselves, most seemingly do not have an open mind when it comes to other's input. I have yet to witness someone changing their written in stone opinion about any subject whatsoever. That being said, your input is useful, just don't let things drive you crazy....jmo
What an inane remark. Many People of many faiths volunteer for not only the Red Cross but also the Red Crescent who also happen to be Christian, Both Organizations are world wide. The Red Crescent is more "mosque-based" that the Red Cross which, as the Salvation Army is Protestant/ Lutheran based but accept volunteers of any religion. The Homeless, the starving do not care of what religion their helper is from and neither does the helper ask of the needy their religion. It would be really sad if they did.
Since neither has the composition of the Church agency that Senator Obana worked with, I will stand by my inane comment as being accurate.
The words I posted were to support Senator Obana claim to being of the Christian faith. Not to dispell the claim.
Little things, such who you 'associate' with do matter. Specially, when you are running for President of the US. Your a student of both pol sci and history, and should know that.
When I see Red Cresent abulances in the middle east picking up wounded there, I don't see many Christians riding in them. Same here, I don't see many Muslim coming into our social services. That is part of the problem, sir.
You are right. Homeless and hungery people don't care where or whom they get assistance from. But to assume that the assistance will comes from a organization of religious diversity? I have seem many bell ringers for the Salvation Army, never seen a Muslim ringing a bell.
Maybe it is different in Europe and other places, sir. This I don't know. But here Muslims don't seem to be assimilating into our society well. I hear that is the same in France, Great Britian and elsewhere. Many have said that the French riots were caused by the inablity of Muslim communities to assimilate there.
I wish it was different here and if is the case in Europe, different there as well. Your thoughts?
Fallingman "I could just as easily ask you how many Muslims have done school massacres?" A simple search will show the answer is PLENTY. Biggest difference is they don't go in and shoot a few people, they bomb the place trying to kill ALL the teachers and students inside, (especially girls') along with leveling the building.
cristina "completely wrong idea of muslimism mam" By now, it is up to THEM to P*R*O*V*E IT!!!!! "Please go visit some islamic countries apart from middle eastern countries! Please do it without a tourist guide " LOL You mean those who are trained/paid to only show tourists what they want them to see. You are really funny! LOL And after what muslims have done in my state, more proof they are not to be trusted. Biggest reason, they PRETEND to be peaceful until time to come out shooting/bombing. Excellent liars and actors.
"its ugly, and for a christian? WRONG!" LOL Way off the wall with that one thinking that those who don't condone the blood lust are wrong. As far as your views on muslims and what their religion teaches, the sects don't even agree on what the quaran says. And funny how your profile says you are in Madrid but you go on about the US like you live here. Noticed a lot of foreigners do that. Why? Just spouting foolishness like it was fact. The drivel throughout the rest of your posts was just as completely undeserving of credibility. And that can be directed to everyone from every other country, not just you. Ask questions, fine, make bigoted, erroneous judgments, nope.
cristina "If you had nothing but your God, wouldn't you fear if people were making fun of your beliefs and God?" Nope, never been that cowardly or insecure.
Fallingman "you had nothing useful to say because you were in Europe (even though you are not) sort of shows the size of the problem." LOL Yeah, the fact that she lies even about her location, and then expects anyone to give her any kind of credibility...I just write the misguided loon off. Also cracked me up that any of you foreigners would imply any kind of predjudice or exclusivity was hysterical. Try we are not stupid enough to put any stock in the views of the clueless LOL By the time I got to page 3 of this, I just started skipping posts by those who didn't have a clue, due to how irrelevant the comments would be. Not like I would ask a 3rd grader how to drive either LOL
HJFinAZ, LOL wonder how hard these idiots will choke on the facts you posted. And who is to say which news source is more reputable than another any more. Politics and religion are pretty much the two things that where the "leaders" lie the most LOL
Indy fella, there have been times when I did abstain from voting simply because I didn't have any info on the candidates. Drives me crazy how some just vote with their party no matter what, just like little non thinking robots.
shipoker "It also somewhat annoys me that he and Winfrey are playing the race card! He is not black...he is bi-racial! " Same feeling here. Frickin idiots! Just USING his color (or should I say one of them) to get votes, sucky tactic, and Oprah can bite me!
prncss4someone, if black can be a heritage, why can't white? LOL I know, neither is, just stupid for the blacks to keep claiming otherwise.
shadow " I would NEVER vote a Muslim into any office, and personally to those who say its racially profiling, oh well, cry to someone who cares." LOL Excellent, as it expresses the sentiment of many of us ACTUAL VOTERS. Who cares what those who aren't involved in the election think?
prncss4someon, "generally speaking, snipers, serial killers and killers of children in our schools as well as domestic terrorists are more white than any other race." Simply not true, please check your facts instead of posting myths about the US. (FYI might want to check the stats on the crimes of the illegals here before you try to claim that one LOL) Just makes you look stupid. Laughed out loud at how much control you seem to think anyone has over the president, with his VETO power and all. Bush's record proves what you are thinking is false.
As far as Hillary goes, if she is so lame she can't even keep her own house in order, sure wouldn't trust her with the Whitehouse.
I for one voted for him in the election that put him into office to start....he is a wonderful person....I have met him in person...he is not a fake person, his ideals are true and there is no intention of lies on his part...
I think that he would make a great president...he has not been corrupted by years of politics...and he stands firm on his beliefs...who cares what his religion is....the fact is...he believes that it is wrong for God to be removed from everything...
They can say what they want during election campaigns, but we all know they only say what they think people want to hear to get into office in the first place, then do what they really went after the position for.
