My one tradition is to have a special supper with M....she gets to pick the supper(lord help me )and we rent a movie.

I do the same thing every year....I buy huge bags of candy and pass it out to ALL the women at work. To certain close friends of mine I also give them cards. I feel no matter what the situation NO woman that I know should go without at least some gesture on Valentine's Day.

Valentines Day is overrated - People should show love daily on just on a holiday. Personally I could give a rats hiney about Valentines Day. To me, everyday should be kind, thoughtful and giving in ways that a person can.
