Well I always like to think going through all the wrong women you generally appreciate the right women much more so when she comes along.
Hopefully you look at choosing the 'right' ones over anyone or everyone.
In my experience people who believe they will never meet someone who is right for them generally attract that type and when they meet someone who is decent and worthy of their emotions they run mile due to all the hurt caused by previous relationhips and what others have put them through.
My advice don't go changing who you are and in return you will find someone special.
