Everything I've said, seen, done and/or experienced has gone into to making me who I am today. And I've finally gotten to the point where I really like me!
Doesn't mean that I don't have a few regrets, but still I wouldn't change a single thing. And besides, if you spend your life bemoaning the past, then your future ain't gonna' be much to brag about either!
The only thing I can think of is my marrige, I married on the rebound and woke up the morning after my wedding saying "OMG what have I done?", but if I hadn't married him then I wouldn't have my amazing daughter... so I would change nothing!
One Cold Night he invited all the Wayfarers off the Country Roads into his Inn,fed them, gave them a warm place to sleep that Night. Told them to just rest their Bundles and Burdens outside under a Shed come in and be comfortable for that Night. Next day when the time came for those Folks to leave, there was some Confusion as to whom what Bundle belonged to.So the Innkeeper suggested for anyone to just pick one.
Well,to their surprise they discovered later on that everybody left with the same Bundle they had carried there.
Nah, only jokin'. I actually wouldn't change a thing. It's the story of MY life.......it's nothing too exciting or important or grand...... But it's me. Everyone's journey is valid for good or bad........and the road goes on. Never say never.

Such is Life.
You know...Even if we could go back and choose different paths...I believe that we still would end up learning the lessons we were meant to learn....Just in a different way...I think your story says it all Conrad...
Well Gilly I am going back another year to when I was 15. I would change quitting school, getting married, and having a baby. Although, I don't regret her, I was just to young to have a baby.

Claayer: Me too.. I wouldn't have wasted my brain by talking all the way throo some many classes. I would have gone to collage (as my family BEGGED me too)...
But nooo not me.. HAD to go and do my own thing instead.
I always wanted to be a Pathologist..
I would have waited until I was older to get married and have children too. But heyho.. life doesn't always pan out the way you think it might.
hi claire ..now thats a very interesting job job if you can stomach it ?
YOU BEING WATCHING TOO MUCH C.S.I HAVENT YOU ? ....GO ON TELL THRE TRUTH !
i'll never forget meeting a german pathologist and his name when i went to germany with a bbc newsnight film crew to make a film about the death of germany's deputy wartime leader who they claimed hanged hi,self in his cell his son said he was murdered but the patholagist gave a twist to the story and said that the body he examined was'nt even him .
becausethe real man had a stab wound that he gained during the war, and there was definately no stab wounds on the body he examined !
anyway i had to creatively light the path lab and table to make it look visually interesting before the cameraman and director were ready to start fimming .
i'm never forget the smell because of the chemicals the use and imagined myself laying on that table
but its an interesting job though that must take years of training

KrazieStill: Gilly, love your posts, really good questions.
Wow, if I could go back. To many "what ifs" I'll just settle for the decisions I've made, good and bad.
hey thanks kraziestill !
look forward to chatting more to nice people like you ( before the language abusing bullies carry on trying to wreck our threads )!
if i coud go back the only decision i would really change is the 9 years i spent in bbc news and current affairs as a telivision studio and location lighting electrician..i made money and saw a lot of things and met a lot of people i was lucky to meet ...but to be honest i wished i spent tjose years in either bbc drama films as a lighting electrician or as a frelance trainee assistant film cameraman outside of that organistion because i would have gone a lot furtherin my carear by now ...even though i'm very happy as a film ( well no i'm still training on video ) so a video filmmaking student .
one of my greatest dreams in life is to eventually spend 3 years full time in proper film school ...not now may maybe in 3 or 4years time once i've finished enjoyed doing what i'm studying now !
2nd biggest regret is so far only having one child ....wish i had another one when the time was right
anyway hows everything hanging with you man ?
i'm sure you must wish you had'nt made certain decisions
by the way hi
