I think my impatience with queuing started when I moved to Spain. The banks are the worst, but the supermarkets are a close second.
People are always jumping the queue with just one item aren't they, I don't mind sometimes but when you've been waiting for half an hour already it's annoying.
Don't like Dia Elley, I prefer Mercadona or El Corte Ingles if I'm feeling extravagant.

At the end of the line was a bottle of olive oil on the floor!Two minutes later some woman came,picked up the bottle and moved it forward (in front of me) to just behind the woman in front of me,at the same time adding a packet of cornflakes and a packet of rice. Then off she went again repeating the exercise many times, each time adding more shopping til there was virtually a trolleyful to be moved forward. Incredible..

No, just joking. I would love to see anyone try that malarkey in Germany! The worst is when I finished paying for my huge trolley load, and have forgotten something .... Go back to get, like, a packet of razor blades, and have to wait again behind 5 or 6 humungous trolleys and everyone just stares straight ahead deliberately ignoring my pleading eyes. But then, sometimes, for some strange reason, people do lighten up and shove me to the front - then my faith in humans is restored again...... they not so bad realy!

Oh here,s the best one. Female friend in the less than ten queu at Sainbury,s in the uk,a few years back. Big fat woman comes up behind her and starts to count said friends shopping. " Excuse me " says she
" You,ve got eleven items counting the multipack as three rather than one." Friend responds " Really, well you are very fat and need to go on a diet, so why don,t you just FO to a wider checkout". Caron didn,t muck about neither,just like Picky.

Of course we shall be ashamed that we still have people who do not respect animals! These people shall be made to pay for their actions, a fine is not enough for sure.
I also agree with you when you say that cruelty is not because we eat meat or drink milk. Cruelty is when hunters fire on small birds that do not produce meat for eating but becuase they want to show them to their friends as conquest, or when a dog is kicked until he bleeds to death becuase it has barked... you don't kill a man becuase he screamed... or talked...

Smokey,here,s another which happened this morning. I,m the last in the queu,then a woman in an orange top comes up behind me. Then, some old biddy came into the queu from the side and struck up a conversation with the woman in front of me,who wasn,t really that interested in chatting. Then the old biddy thinks that this now entitles her to get in front of me (and by this time half a dozen others). Being the perfect gent I told her to get to the back of the queu which she stubbornly refused to do and started to insult me calling me shameless,cheeky " and you,re only a foreigner anyway- the accent gives it away. Everyone else behind me backed down and let her in,except for the poor lady in orange who tried to give as good as she got. Whatever,after the loud ruckus she caused I thiought this might be a a good trick you could try where you live.

(if I remember correctly you only had disgusting orange squash THEN suddenly discovered an old bottle of chilled in the fridge 'disgusting vino blanco 2007 bottled only last week' - I had to drink most of it to prevent you becoming violently sick and falling into the pool!)....it was really horrible stuff but, again, I drank it so as not to offend you - I hate you almost as much as that fellow 'Gozitan'!
