bajanblue: No back fin, but I will have to ask Sharon for more details. I actually thought she was pulling my leg so I was surprised to get the pic!
well, its got me stumped, I've searched and searched to no avail - but have found some interesting specimens; Monkeyface Eel - Cebidichthys violaceus and mangrove rivulus both similar but both have their eyes too high in the head I think - very strange fish indeed

Okay: more details from my sister: started out at guppy size, pale with stripes. Grew fast, noe six inches, looks like a fish but likes to beach itself on the rock when water level falls.
Maybe it is an alien.
Seriously though, if anybody sees it and goes AHA! We would love to know what it is. Both my sis & her hubby have kept aquariums for years and are stumped as are their fish loving friends,

StressFree: the pic was funny.....I think the weird amphibian wants out of her/his world.....much like in the way that certain people want to escape our world....
He/she/it just seems to like to bask occasionally. About once a week or so.

I said bring me a photo.
She did, it is on my profile.
Fish or weird amphibian that spends most of its time swimming? Some sort of bug?
Does anybody know?
