At that range i'd have hit you left or right handed! I had a very funny bet with some Rangers in an American airbase last summer that they thought i couldn't hit an egg sized object.Well it was a drinks can with any chosen weapon of their chosing after i had 3 shots to adjust the site.
I think it was 1304 when we used the rangefinder afterwards.
Their mouths dropped open i collected $100 from each guy then offered to show them some trick shooting afterwards.
You should have seen their faces, it was priceless.

No, by that time the anti war movement here was pretty strong. The Gov't considered it for a time. They could have prosecuted her 'under aiding and abetting an enemy during war time'. But Vet Nam was a 'police action'. Not a declared war. So would have gotten into legalize court games and more exposure for Jane. So Gov't dropped it.
Funny thing is. She never did any of the anti war movies. She could pretty well pick her roles now.
Personally, I would have figured a away to pull her passport. But she had a lot of pull. Her dad.....and brother were both big in Hollywood. Her dad especially had connections in Washington at the time. Suspect they went to bat for her.

I didnt know the fonda family had connections in Washington.I bet someone was just itching to arrest her.Though that happens a lot and its easier to let sleeping dogs lie.
Mind you shes lucky she wasnt Russian, had she done the same to them she would have been ordered home. Picked up in a car and received summary execution within the hour of clearing the airport.
They took treason/espionage in a far more direct approach
I watched "once apon a time in america" the other day, and i have to say it was a real load of old rubbish all these years on! They couldn't make crap like that anymore....
Oh yes they could the pink elephants here just said and pointed out some of my dvds.There right of course, even the oompalumpa suggested "Bill and teds excellent adventure".

I once shot a 3 round 3/4 inch group at 300 yards without optics.
Remington bolt action 223....the best shooting I ever did.
Ever shot the movement range at Ft. Benning? What a range. Targets pop up and move on tracks. Some are standing 2/3 size and others are crawling head shoots. Most of them are moving. You start at 250 yards just like engaging targets in defending an attack. Then work closer to 25 yards. Three clips. Several rounds for each target. If you ever get a chance do shoot it.
To score high the trick is to fire in front the target. The impact kick rocks up into the target that are computer recorded hits. Computer does not know the difference between a peeples or a round. Once we learned that it was easy to score high.
I watched a guy go nuts here. He was to fire downrange with a M-16.
He turns the weapon to the firing line to shoot at one his drill instructors. A course instructor saw him turn the gun to the drill.
Just as he pulling off the first round, the instructor is knocking the gun down as he jumbed into the pit with him. 4 rounds zipped the at the Drill and hit short of him in the ground by about 20-30 feet. Article 25 (felony charge), attempted murder, dishonorable discharge, and 20 to life in Leavenworth all in about 4 second time for the guy.

America did great during the world wars but after that ...Every single time it has been a failur.I beleive american true abilities lies in american great amount of intellectual individuals and american influence because of the power to control the state of economy all over the world. Diplomacy will be much stronger when enemies know that there is a huge military power behind it even if that military power is not used.
I know..weapon prdouktion runs 24 hours a day over there and people need jobs and investors need a good retirenment and all that....But the meaning a bout the whole industry Sucks I beleive!Nasty Nasty Business in deed and as long as americans making all those weapons so do Chiness, so do Russians and so do indians and europeans and all the rest! My brain locked onto the thread but when i realised my brain wasnt registering some of the words like cessation i realise that my reasoning powers are evaporated now.
Now i know why the chinese empire collapsed as i cant think straight or even recognise what some words mean now after morphine has had a good 2 hours to get into my system! I think i better try and read your bit when i am not high as a kite.
I'm not sure if its frustration or the drugs not making me be able to realise why on earth some people think funny but in a month i will reread the thread with my brain hopefully free of morphine and be able to see if i have just been just plain thick tonight.
I just dont know, its beyond me.

Peter Fonda was her father. Same Peter Fonda of many western movies. He was not anti war. He served in WWII in the Navy. Did
a lot war movies. So he was connected back in DC. Noone want
to press charges against her, it would have also brought him and his movie work into dispute. Would have been a anti war trial with a lot
