Come on ladies - how refreshing is it when you meet a man who "doesn't beleive in marriage"? My four closest girlfriends - all with men who hands down will not be dragged up the aisle, but yet are happy to be having babies with them - because thats more of a commitment than a ring!
So my questions is - if you don't beleive in marriage, but your partner clearly does (what little girl doesn't dream of getting married) then wouldn't you do it just to keep them happy? Aftter all - its not an issue!
Dress, cake, party and holiday - what four reasons do you need!
(And maybe with CS being such a bunch of hopeless romantics this is maybe not the right forum to bring this up in...)

I have never been married. I always wanted to get married and have a family. Circumstances prevented that from happening and I don't think it ever will happen.
Just be happy with what you have. Rocking boats may lead to being alone...who wants that?
dcj22: A few decades ago, it was the men chasing women wanting to get married, now it's the other way around. WTF happened?
Maybe we have wised up and realize that marriage is disposable...so why bother going through all the hassle just to end up with the same result!!!!!!!!!!!

In the case of some of my friends it's not marriage but divorce that they are concerned about. With a 50% rate here in the US and some nasty divorces people I know are really looking at things a bit more carefully.
I have a friend who has been in a relationship for almost 12 years now. No marriage in site. They seem to have all they need reguardless of the legal system.
Chuffed - definition in the Oxford English Dictionary. Verb - to be quite delighted with oneself, not necessarily for any valid reason. Possibly just for passing wind, or recalling a humerous anecdote from times past. In all cases said "chuffedness" will result in the corners of the mouth turning up to form what is known as a "gurn".
