There's this young hot Italian guy who comes into the place my friend & I hang out in who seems genuinely interested in me. There are a few problems though. I'm not sure of his age, but he's seems quite a bit younger. I'm 43 & I'd judge him to be in his 20s. Also, he barely speaks any english & I find myself trying to remember my 2 years of spanish class from high school! I'm not even sure if Italian is the same or similar to Spanish! Thirdly, my friends are warning me that he may be looking at me as a ticket to gain citizenship into the country. Believe me, my guard is up. But he IS cute! I need some opinions please...

If you can't communicate well it probably won't be a very good relationship. No, italian is not spanish, although some words in english and spanish relate to the same word in italian. Third... cute does not mean he is someone you want to date. Do you know anything about him beyond cute? Maybe if you had similar outlooks on things he would be a person you would want to date (again, communication may be the hard part to finding that out). Also, from my personal experience most 20 somethings aren't ready for a relationship (men and women) with anyone, much less someone who has matured as much as most 40 somethings have. Granted... that's a 'most' statement, and there are exceptions, but this isn't something I would bet on working out well without you and him getting to know something more about each other first.
Well you appear to be a very beautiful woman. I doubt he is only interested in you for citizenship. I do however feel that because you are older (psyche says this) he may be looking to have a physical relationship with you and might possibly be incapable of the more serious relationship that you may be desiring. Love was not meant to be complicated, and somehow things just fit right into place when you least expect it.
Keep in mind, this day and age most marriages do not last. So you are going to find lots of young men who are seeking older women (believe it or not) because they have been raised by their mothers alone. Which is understandable, although the problem is they are attempting to bite more than they can chew. Sure it is great and no problem they want an older woman, but can they handle it at their age? As the age gap lessens with age, usually young men do not grow up or find who they are until late 20's to early 30's. Because life demands more of them now, such as obtaining a BA vs how some of you older women only needed a Diploma to land on success.
So with more time being required, it is taking longer to grow up and experience life for what it is. These young people see how their parents were set at an early age and it is hard for them to understand it takes a little longer before they can begin to do those things.
Anyways, I am sure you will do just fine in your decision. Just do not put yourself in a situation you feel uncomfortable in, otherwise your judgment will be blinded by doubt and then all hell breaks loose or will eventually surface after a period of time. You are either humbled with a lesson learned or torn by a waste of time.
Yeah... because that's really going to let her know if he's a keeper. Sorry... but it's not ALL about what happens between the sheets... some yes, but not all.
