darlynda: 3 days ago, i was at home and my SUV was in my driveway, and someone tried to steal it. i forgot to lock the drivers door and it looks like someone tried to use a screwdriver to pop the ignition switch or at least thats what the cops said. i just cant figure out why anyone would be so brave(it being in my driveway) or do they realize i drive a gas guzzler(ford exployer). anyone have anything like this happen to them?
Oooh, that sucks! Personally, I've never had anything like that happen - but, I know some people who have & I have seen some dirty deeds going down, being in the wrong place at the wrong time, in the past. Some people just don't have their minds right... if it doesn't belong to you, keep your freaking hands off of it!

I had an Audi 5000SQ limited edition that was stolen twice. The second time was from the shop where it had been towed to. Some one had to back a Flatbed up to it and load it up in the middle of the night. They also got $3000.00 of tools that would not fit in the back of the VW.
I also lived in an area where my other car was shot @ during a drive by. The cops said my vehicle was mistaken for someone elses'
Needless to say, I moved back home out of the big city. Jobs are scarcer but I'm safer!

My daughter's ex steels cars, he just takes one to use for awhile then drops it and then takes another one. It does not matter about gas as he did not pay for it either would just take off. He even went around steeing car parts to repair an old car he had.
My daughter has not been with him for 2 years but I think he is still doing the same thing. His family was in a gang and he was removed and placed in group homes as a kid but still tried to live up to what they do to be important.
