Im VERY VERY low tech. Fortunatly I have friends who are high tech and take care of me. I have NEVER reported anyone an dont block anyone. I prefer to deal with "things" straight on and not be a tattle tail. Thats just me.

What Im wondering is this: Is it possible for a MoD here (or any public forums) to somehow trace a profiles IP or address or something and find other profiles from this site by the same person?
Example: A person makes several profiles here. One gets deleted by MoDs.
Can the Mods trace that profile to an IP/address and then "connect" that profile with any other profiles on the site?
Anyone tech enough to know feel free to answer. THANKS!!

If they've got the right equipment & software they should be able to, as long as the offending person has a static IP. A lot of people have an IP that changes every time they log in.

i dont want to say the MODS can do it, as it something some one else (diferent position) has acces to that info

but yes CS staff (in general) can find the IP where the person is loging

Sure, I could see that being offensive in the forums here would cross several states, even countries, but still... Are they for hire wink laugh

CS has dealt with more offenses than one might believe

and reprting isnt tattling
in fact CS requests that members report so they dont have to be in here all the time

write them a letter and explain what you think is happening

they are very helpful

Yes, It is possible. Also, keep in mind that some may possibly "borrow" other peoples RAM. A very savvy person could also "bounce" from IP to IP using the satellites to make it virtually impossible to trace back to them. There are many other things I learned in my MCSE Curriculum but these are among the simplest.
