It's also annoying because it freezes up the screen if you're trying to read a forum. It'd be nice if it would put the name of the person trying to message you, just in case it is someone you'd like to talk to. I had clicked ignore on it once & regretted it because I found out it was from someone I wanted to talk to.

I wouldn't mind if someone im'd me before writing.Can get to know them better and faster,so I like it.Only on this site I have goten 2 people I wanted to talk too.Otherwise I got 22yr olds saying I love you or that type of stuff.I do like to see who it is as far as on site goes.

Yeah you can. Go to your mailbox and there's a tab there for IM requests.Or just turn it off like I've done. If anyone wants to talk to me they can email me. Would rather chat on YM anyway, the IM function here sucks, it's slow as molasses and freezes up the whole computer.
