brokenspirit: When we learn to love the person we see in the mirror each day at our worst or best or in between, then we can love those we talk to, come in contact with or just type words on the computer. However, true, long lasting, forever love, is complex. To meet the person will give you a better chance to know them on the inside as well as the outside. Pretty and handsome packages are not always that once they are opened.
Oooo...I like that! And I agree, whether online or in person, we must love ourselves before we can love another. And yes, love is very complex. I certainly know plenty of people who are pretty on the outside, but it's only skin-deep. I believe that inner beauty is much more important. I need to love someone's soul.

My honest feeling in response to this question is that I think you can fall in love online, but actually loving the person would require spending time in person getting to know each other's quirks...and making sure that they really are who they said that they are...falling in love is easy, maintaining it is hard.

AutumR: ~~~It depends on the idividuals involved, how true they are being to each other and themselves, same as it would be meeting someone the "regular" way. You can meet someone and be attracted to them, get caught up in that attraction and realize later "What the hell was I tinking." This way you learn alot about each other before you ever meet and have a good strong starting point.

Initially, I did not think it was possible. That is why I resisted joining the site. Now, however, I do believe it is possible, IF they have total honesty, trust, respect.
There also has to be, as in any relationship, an understanding that each person had a life before their life with you. Along with this, you have to have an acceptance for that life and the lessons that went along with it, because it is the experiences of the other person's life before you that helped to make them into, the person you fell in love with.

Yes I do..provided that both people are being themselves and are open and honest with each other...it's a more intimate way of getting to know each other on-line and of having conversations that you might not talk about right away when meeting in person...I don't think you can put a time frame on it...every person and couple is different...

but for me it was love...
we talk for a very long time on the site..and email and on the phone
and then we met in person..
everything he said on here was infact what it was when we met..

first of all I think its all about what u want from a relationship and how u choose to love someone. so is it possible, the saying anything is possible comes to my mind.
I think that you can fall in love in a matter of minutes and then its all about building a lasting love and

Its possible to feel an attraction to what they are portraying but if you are going to let yourself go with the flow or are weak minded ( another possibility) .. maybe even falling in love might be possible.
I would rather believe in love at first sight again a feeling of connection that u might in feel with someone .. than without having seen them.
Personally , i can have admiration and maybe even an infatuation but not love. Love is too strong a feeling to be so casual.
