I was out west as well, fantastic , that old Greyhound bus!! 3 days and hey presto I was in Edmonton, then on to the Rockies , Banff , Lake Louise etc , but the crap thing is I have the photo's to prove it , but my passport says I am lying!!

They froze
my nephew at customs here in Finland, then called both me and one of my sisters, to confirm his information. I asked them what the deal was if he had a visa, they said they checked his pockets and only found 200euros in them. They went on to tell me a visa means nothing and they could deny him entry if they felt like it. I told them it was late and they should probably decide if they were going to let him in or not. 
They said i was being rude, i said i didn't get them and had as much right to ask them questions if i didn't.
I was sitted there waiting and they let him through.

At customs in Denmark, this official asked for my passport and the only thing he said was 'beautiful'. I don't care if he meant it or was having an amazingly good day, you just don't get nice people at such posts, everyday. Infact the whole staff at Copenhagen seemed lovely.

Well it does suck , ask any traveler and they would agree with me , it's a nonsence not to have your passport stamped , and yes the passport is a treasure , you know that surely ?those stamps are treasures arent they?

No its fine , the holiday was certainly not cheap ! I always wanted to travel autonomously and good old greyhound served it's purpose ! I would travel on that bus again , no regrets , regular stops , freshen up in the restrooms etc and see the praires , no I don't regret it , plus I had the best Burger I have ever had , in Wainwright . They don't stamp mine when i go to Sweden. They didn't stamp it in Denmark either.
It's ok, i can go in out of them, as long as i have a finnish Visa.
