So I met this guy on here, and we've been talking for two weeks. Things are AMAZING with this guy. No one has ever been so sweet to me or anything. I'm falling hard. The problem is he is in Illinois & I'm in Texas. This is my first net "relationship" & I'm a little hesitant about placing the label bf or gf when we haven't met. We won't get to meet for a while due to school & his current knee injury. I go crazy thinking about him. I want to talk to him about making this a little more commited. For one thing-It will make me more relaxed because I already feel commited to him, for another thing-I really want to have a relationship with this guy. what should I do?

Too soon girl, I have had some that totally broke my heart after months of talking to online and by phone, take your time and wait till after you meet and start really getting to know each other before putting too much of your heart into it.

meghaningram08: Okay, I understand what everyone is saying, but how can I make myself relax like that? Just let it go? How?
Well by telling your self do I want to be ripped apart and spit out like trash. Or do I want to take my time and get to know him remembering that it May Not work out. Keep repeating It May Not Be Right. Just got to learn to look out for yourself.
I've never been really interested in someone this much. All of my past bf's were kind of spur of the moment things and they were always horrible. I knew from the beginning they were like this, but with this guy things seem different and it's really hard to hold back.

Well just keep talking...keep getting to know each other....and make a date to meet..you can have your own way of committing by just talking to him and not labeling it....and not having the commitment discussion until you do meet....it's well worth your while to get to know him well first before making a decision...trust me...

Hopefully he is what you are sensing. Have you thought about what happens if it works, will you be willing to move there? But even before all of that you need to spend real life time with him. I have dated great men for 5 months in my own town, only to find out he was a closet crank head. Some people are the best liars around.

Bear in mind that any person can pretend to be something they're not, but they won't be able to keep it up indefinitely. Go ahead and feel good about the guy if that's how you feel. Just take it slowly.

We should do a counseling call in program together or something.
his name is ryan. he hasn't really been on here long [nor have i]. believe me-i know this could all be a fake. i'm trying to talk to some of my friends to get their support. yes i have thought about the distance issue. i'm at a jr college now & if we are still going strong when i get out of here, i'll go to college in illinois near him. i'm trying to listen to ONLY upbeat music when i feel a slight hint of being depressed coming on. hope that helps
