Obama has won. History made. There might well be a god, and if so, He has blessed America.

If you choose to be miserable, be so. But please don't project it on those who think.

God bless you both! grin

I apologise but it really does grip me when people start spouting:

'God Save America'

It's so 'against_the_rest_of_the_worldist'

I'm so glad you're proud of your country, but many non-Americans do believe that this planet is inhabited by other people as well, and that so-called Christians should look outwards to their neighbours and fellow world citizens.

'God save America' comes over as 'God save us and to Hell with the rest of you!'

I know that's not true, but it's probably an attitude that made people dislike the inhabitants of 'Great Britain' when it was an Empire.

The UK of GB has seemed a friendlier place now that people have quit harking on about 'God Save Everything British because the rest of the world are heathen idiots'............ really! grin

Good - the rest of the world is a better place when the USA is in a positive mood......... let's hope we can all work together to make the planet safe for ourselves and our children and our grandchildren!

By the way, I am also proud that a guy whose dad was born in a part of the world that I was born in is now President of the USA - I was delighted to see how happy Kenyans are that Obama has won...... their enthusiasm is infectious (I was born 'next door' in Uganda and spent many happy holidays in Kenya as a little boy).

I was in Germany last week, and saw some German tv........... a sister of Obama's was interviewed - she spent 16 years studying in Germany - he seems to have a family with widespread family connections which is 'cool' in my eyes!

hug

I concur, as I was born in Kenya, we are the same age, and have seen so many changes in our homelands, not many for the good, maybe now it will give them the hope they need to also move forward

cheers
