Hello my good friends, 
Tomorrow is gonna be an emotional day for me and my family. We decided to cremate our beloved dog so she will remain within the house. We had to keep her at the vet's freezer until my ex-husband return from a business trip. This thing is gonna be the first cremation experience so hope we will be strong.

When I was growing up we had a family tradition about pets that died .... We buried them in the garden - and planted a fruit tree on their grave.

MARTI: My family Dachshund passed away last night...Her name was Dixie and she was thirteen years old. She suffered from a heart attack and me and my daughters cannot stop crying.. She was so special and clever.

Hmmmm...... my dad did that with his cat 'Tottie', but the lemon tree has never 'taken' - maybe dead cat isn't as good fertilizer as dead dog?

I really don't understand what you mean Francois and it's a bit strange you post this now while her loss was last year.That aside it's disrespectfull.
I just wanted to say this about loosing a man's best friend.If you have children and you get a dog you know the children are gonna be confronted with loosing a loved one at a young age.We all loose loved ones in our lives and if you can handle it with respect, you're children will learn from it.It's always gonna be sad but dealing with sadness is a part of life.Hope your family is well marti.

Ye it not something to take likely after loosing my best m8 (15 yr old Kelp tal kacha ) in february i can honestly say i know the feeling, as long as you never forget a friend like that its allright hun, i Miss Maxxi lots but he still with me in spirit and thought ... allways think about him, and ye still brings a tear to my eye :(
