A madhouse? It can't be worse than serving a bunch of drunks, getting pitched in the butt, getting insulted, having food thrown at you, and going home with your hair smelling like bacon. I work the overnight shift at a diner. I serve all the drunks that roll in after the bars close.
I don't think there is anything people on a forum can do or say to bother me especially since I can just turn off my computer and make them go away.
The place sounds like fun.

I'm fairly new to this as well; sometimes I worry if I'm being silly or naive by thinking I might find someone I can connect with on these sites, but from my short experience here, there are many compelling and interesting people even if you're not looking for a relationship.
Don't be afraid to jump into the middle of a convo or just start random banter. The more sociable you are, the more sociable people will be in return.

Yeah,i read that about the bacon.I thought it was from camping.
And you are correct Mindy.Those geese really are mean.Not just by where you are.They are protective like that.Territorial.They also sense fear,like dogs do,and attack.
