oh nevermind
if i told you they couldnt get in like that you wouldnt believe me anyway

blushing

sigh

but dcj is right-report
there are buttons on almost every page and CS does appreciate it and gets annoyed when we name members publically or claim to be responsible for driving them out
(like i saw yesterday somewhere in a thread-someone crowing about their powers to drive away bad membersdoh )

i feel our job is to be a good guest and try to welcome anyone that shows up-we can always go hang on the patio or in the kitchen if someone enters a room we are in and we cant stand them

i mean if we were at a friends house party we wouldnt be rude and loud and ugly to each other
we wouldnt dream of it-embarrassing our hosts...

im like a broken record with this but

there are upwards of at least 3,000 members on CS (way more but if i said no one would believe me)
lots of people dont post
but are great genuine people and write with others and are on other parts of the site

this forum used to have over 60 regulars as in daily posters

hundreds read forums and dont come in, im sure for many many reasons-all different

i wish it was more welcoming, more conversational and less accusatory so people would join us in here

there used to be a positive peer pressure and 99% of the sniping that goes on would be shouted down and self policed
like-uh-adults?

i guess alot of those emotionally healthy people got tired and moved on or mated.

now its just us-what are we gonna do with this lil republic? section off more and more or have sonme actual conversations

it would be great if it was a safe feeling environment to share for everyone-not just a few

being completely selfish? i sure miss feeling like i can share my heart mind and day here
in an emotionally trustworthy environment.

i came to rely on that and i really miss it

we are all human and we all need a place to be accepted warts and all

i know im not the only one that remembers the days before 'club' threads

You are right people should be able to be comfortable when coming into the forums. I am sorry that you don't feel that way anymore. I know I have a lot to learn.blues moping

I don't get upset when I post good jokes and only the same certain few come in to laugh at the jokes. It's no different than threads. Some will at least come in too boost your thread, cause they like you or they actually like the topic, why do people have to read more into things , why can't we just do what we individually enjoy with out sounding like we are ignoring.professor doh

Again, and I too hate to sound like a broken record, myself being new I may not have seen it yet, but, I really haven't seen much as far as intentional exclusion or a lack of welcome to new people.

Maybe I was an exception to the rule, but, I felt welcome when I visited the first time. Noone singled me out and said anything nasty to make me feel unwelcome. I just took it upon myself to jump in some conversations.

Again , I understand that there are going to be cliques, and groups that hang out more so w/ one another, but I also understand that I need to take it upon myself to become part of the conversation.

If they want me in it, good, if not, so be it, I'll find another conversation. I don't take it personal or behold a grudge just because I wasn't in on a thread or whatever.

But again, this is me, and I know I don't speak for everyone that was new @ one time , new now, or those that will be.

why does it have to be a grudge?
rolling on the floor laughing

its an observation

there is definite exclusion

its childish and it sucks

im glad you have been welcomed-you should be-all should be

believe me there are lots of people that watch the forums and dont post because over time they have seen with objectivity what goes on and they are afraid or uncomfortable to join because of it

i just think its a bummer-thats my opinion
over 3 years here-i can say it is different now

and definitely less populated and i think we alllll have a responsibility in that

i dont mean to seem greedy but maybe i am
in my opinion at any party-more is better

and we would all have more opportunities if there were more of us in here
thats my point

i like you and i want to apologize for not being more welcoming

for me-by the time i see you most days i am draggin my tired bloody butt out of here
so i dont let you know i appreciate you

i hope you will continue to try
i will begin to give more effort

took balls to come in this thread and say that-i know youve said it before

i am here-
but the name thing?
its bad netiquette -
it makes people feel excluded and thats exactly why alot of people do it
to give the impression they have a more intimate relationship

some know my name and they know i prefer to be addressed by my screenname on forum because i dont want to play that game
im MF and i want to visit w/ lots o folks

even yeswho? yesYOU!!!handshake
