"Bikers"
People ask what makes a biker I hear that question a lot I'm not sure there is an exact answer but i'm pretty sure what they're not
They're probably not those hardtail hardheads who park their rides in front of the bar, whose asses are parked on a barstool inside but whose bikes never travel too far.
They're not those fat-cat wannabes, trailers hauling their custom bikes from rally to rally all year long they dont know what real riding is like
Tattoos sure dont make you a biker, although some have tats, dome do not. Expensive black leather isnt enough It's something that just can'be bought.
To me real bikers are riders out there with their wheels on the highway putting on the miles, living in the ride, on every back-road and byway..
Instead of hiding under the overpass, right on through that storm they glide. 'they know that trailers are made for boats, that i doesnt have to be sunny to ride.
A biker will stop to help you out if your down along the way The brand you ride doesnt matter a damn They may need your help someday.
To me its all about the ride, about living out there on the Highway, about riding with a few good friends, but you dont have to do it my way
If you think it sall aoub the tats, about the crome, the leather, the bars, you can go ahead and live that life, but you might as well drive a car.
You dont need a nice motorcycle to get all rowdy and drunk, to dress up like a pirate and get in fights with some punk
Me, I'll be out there on that highway, making that Road King Roll. I bought it to ride, and i feel deep inside I'm a biker, right down to my soul

jlb684: One thing I've always wanted to do was to learn how to ride (operate) a motorcycle. I absolutley love riding on them. Sometimes, when I have had a particularly troubling or stressful day, I will call a friend of mine, ask him to bring his bike around and take me for a ride. There's just something about having the wind whipping against my hair, my face, my eyes....it takes all of the negative energy of my stress or problems of the moment and just frees me of it all.

Ecowarrior: Its the freedom, when you ride you can think of one thing and one thing only, the way ahead. A moments lapse and your eating grit. Its the coldness on a crisp winters morning, the warm breeze on a summer evening. You are more part of the journey that you are on.Harley Lowride and screaming eagle, girlfiend has harley sportster
The girl bikers might be a problem where I come from - a small island with a population of about 400,000 - there are not that many of them.
My best friend, Debbie, bought a Harley a year and a half ago. She had never driven a bike before she bought it. But she took a class and learned how to ride. Then she put a trike kit on it and tricked it out.
It gave her a new lease on life and is very cool. And... she'll be 53 years old tomorrow. Good for her.
rosie_girl: So many of these profiles have guys and their motocycles I think I will delete the next one I see. So tired of reading about them. Isn't there one guy who does not like motorcycles? UGH!!!
JMO, but I think don't knock it til you try it. Whether riding or driving, nothing compares the feeling, down the open road - you are able to notice so much more beauty of the land...it is a sense of freedom...hard to describe but easy on the soul. Classic cars, muscle cars - the rumble of a well tuned motor, 1/4 mile races, a man that knows how to fix them and does...it's all hot; a good kinda hot. Give me a guy that can pull wrenches anyday

That's the word - freedom - nothing else like it
Not so sure about noticing the beauty of the land, though - eyes on the road works for me.....

Good for you! Go for it!
G/friends harley sportster was for her 50th, never been happier since she got it. She had a bike before but it wasn't up to much.

kidatheart: Wow! You sound even rosier than you did with your first post in this thread.
What's so offensive about people sharing their interests like motorcycles or cars? If you don't share those interests, don't look at their profiles. I don't see how complaining about them is going to help though. In fact it makes you seem like someone who's negative and likes to complain.
She probably likes clubbing small animals to death, then putting them under the grill and put cheese on them?
Whats wrong with bikes? They don't nag....thats why men like them i think?
I have a very flash set of leathers upstairs, but didnt get around to finishing my test and getting the bike i would have liked.
Another case of events outrunning my capacity to keep ahead of them

I don't ride them, but damn, they're some nifty machines. Some Superb Engineering goes into those things. If I were younger I'd most likely get bitten by the Bug.
