sweetowen: Oh no... I'm feeling it slightly again. Think it's my sinuses.
Stay away from the dairy products if you suffer from your sinuses.. and for your headache..eat litle and often with plenty of water, if you have gone beyond that stage, take the foods that trigger them...fed by a cetain lovely gentleman to you bit by bit
sweetowen: I'm at work & use 2 computers. Not much chance of getting away from that.
Hopefully you're home and feeling better... I always keep a variety of combat bottles of all types of headache relief. Discovered my last series of wicked headaches was because I needed glasses (for computer with bi-lens for reading), headaches went away.
In response to: and no aspirin/acetaminophen/ibuprophen. What can I do to cure it?
I don't have a cure but what was suggested to me by a doctor may help bring it down to a low roar.
One time I had this awful headache and it seemed that no matter what I took for it it just seemed to keep hanging on.
The pain became so bad I had to go to the hospital.Well the doctor had me go into one of the examning rooms and lay on the bed. The doctor then had his nurse come in and closed the blinded and turned the lights out so the room was completely dark. I layed in that darkened room for awhile and when the nurse came in to check on me I told her my headache had begun to subside alittle.
You may wish to give this a try the next time you get a headache and you've tried everything.
I had suddenly gotten another pounder today just as I was leaving work. I thought my head would explode! Couldn't even concentrate on anything. Took 2 ibuprofen when I got home. Now it's gone!!
druidess6308: There you go...have a glass of wine while your feet are soaking. And put on some soothing music, light a few candles.
Try a bath...maybe a nice soak will do wonders to relax you. As the good Doc said, headaches have many causes. Mine come mostly when my dogs are being too obnoxious with each other. My best cure was a doggie door!
I may just have to try that tonight!
This last one came on so suddenly & severely, it scared me because my father had an aneurysm when he was 38.

I get quite a few stress headaches and does anyone know what is good for those? Mine is due to my job, but quitting is not an answer for me. I feel sometimes like all the muscles in my back, neck, shoulders are trying to go through the top of my head. Any advice?

That's exactly how mine was! Thought I was dying! The ibuprofen did the trick for me.

If you can afford it..a massage or chiropractor could help...also, one time I was told that certain mediccations could actually make a headache worse....Tylenol mo more that 2 gms per day......

what is really sad is, that I cant even enjoy a glass of wine anymore without getting one...I am looking at acupuncture as an option....I want a drink on occasion.....

It takes the edge off for me but that is about it. I have herniated disc in my neck from a car wreck a few years ago. I've had so many adjustments but it always comes back.
