Kyrhah: This is out of the middle of the thread and HL and I have emailed each other quite alot last night with a very pleasant conversation - she is a very nice lady, even if we don't see eye to eye (or actually do we ????) at times....

If it were allowed I would let you have the whole emails which went back and forth between HL and me

Taking things out of context is what even great politicians and journalists gets into big trouble.

Oh, here's another one posted by you Jan. 13 (one day before the others) to Conrad:

Not at all.... I could care less. But what p...ss me off is the ignorance of most Americans.

But then again: see where it put y'all.....

What is out of context of all these insulting posts of yours? Am I missing something or are you on here starting fights? I'll keep posting if that's what you want there's plenty more where those came from....

Tamarin: Well said LACali......
A dyslexic is a person who has problems with the written language and it can manifest in various forms. I work in Education. My grammar and spelling can be horrific. I can relate to anyone with these problems as I get D,B, P and H mixed up which is meant to be quite common but unheard of when I was at school. People need to be encouraged and not jeered at...some are clever and pick up several languages. I to find English and American very different. I asked for a rubber in a store and got weird looks when I realised Americans say eraser. I have asked for the loo and been told there is no Loo here. As for slider and dog...when it comes to food I am totally lost.

I have proplems with db9P spin one and they look like another but all the same to me. I can still write backwords, upsidedown, upsidedownbackwords, right or left hand and a friend recently gave me here phone number,,, i told her it was the same backwards as forwards. I learned to write as i do by rembering words as symbols ,,,with soso success. As i said earlier i've never concidered this as bad or disadventageous.

Oh, my here's yet another one again from Jan. 13, no idea who it is to as there's no quote in there here we go:

But my real question to your post is:

What are you Americans so damn proud of ????

That you all are the descendants of those misfits which the whole of Europe has tossed on a boat or two or three (hey, who is counting?!) to get rid of them and sent them over to the new world ???

I lived over there long enough and in different parts of the US to be able to form an honest opinion of you folks - and that is not a good one !

Hmm, out of context? Have you written one nice thing? Anyone can go check your posts and see this...

Although spelling is NOT a requirement for intellect it does reflect, somewhat, aptitude. If I read too many typos and/or spelling errors in a profile it does reflect laziness to me. It shows me that that person did not proofread his profile and we would probably not make a good match as it seems haphazardous and not caring.
Profiles, to me, are similar to a resume and first impressions ARE lasting impressions.

Again this is just my humble opinion so please don't start calling me the "B" word or an anti-semite, which is truly unnecessary, for voicing an opinion on this topic.

Joel, this thread is about spelling. In true Inspector Cloooooseau style... it doesn't mean:

Bomb... Berm
Officer of the Law.... Ufficer of the Lerw
Momkey... Minkey

roll eyes

rolling on the floor laughing

Good to see ya... teddybear

Isn't it all about perception ?

So many here had agreed with my posts and others had disagreed - that is what a forum is all about isn't it ??? To out ones views on things

And if my point of view is not yours, does that really make me a bad person and vice versa ?

Yes, I have a very different opinion and view on a lot of things which went on and are still ongoing in politics, in education, in the world as a whole. And if I feel someone does me wrong I won't turn the cheek to get slapped on the other one too, no, I return the favour. That is everyone's right.

Cali is offended because I stated things in other threads which were my very own experience and had even been experienced by other Americans the same way. She went ahead and copied and pasted only my answers to other posts without getting the grasp or the concept of the whole context.

And having all this said, I really wish people would be less ignorant and hope we will have peace on earth very soon peace

My exroomate worked at a nursinghome, she told me a little story that one of the patients told her. The nice lady said she had met someone durring WWII and lost touch but ran into him at a airport one day ,,,and they married and moved to america. One day the lady needed to go to an appoitment early in the day. Apparently in England you could ask the local Bobby to tap on your window to awaken you when needed. There were no such things in her neighborhood in the US so she went to her neighbors house. The couple opened the door and she said 'i need someone to knock me up'. The huspand offered.

Cultual diferences are there, here and heck i thought rubbers were rain boots in other countrys.

He will never be able to get even to smell your footprints, that's why he is attacking you

Just ignore him - it is not worth it.

Uh, he declared himself on here to Stef last week so I'm quite sure he's not looking to smelll anyone's footprints.
