You are quite happy in your own place... but there are the jobs and DIY tasks you just can not do for example lift that cooker or wall unit by yourself, rewire a lamp etc. So don't we wish we had a man we could take out the cupboard for this instead of paying a handyman!

Am I the only female on here that admits men are physically stronger and can accomplish tasks that we women can not?

I'm with ya on this one. I can do most things myself but when it comes to fixing something big, forget about it. I stammer all over myself trying to explain it to the Home Depot guy who is blankly staring at me thinking.... "REALLY???? LADY????? CALL SOMEONE TO FIX IT"

I learned along time ago to be my handyman/woman by take plumbing and electrical classes so I knew that someday I may not have a man around to do those things.

I know how to rewire a lamp and lift a wall unit etc myself.

I've built cupboards for my home, layed flooring, fixed a leaky sink, toilet.

I am totally amazed that you can lift a wall unit by yourself after seeing the pic you posted!

And will there be a female version for us single guys, to use when we forget just how long it takes to defreeze the bread, or put the Quilt cover back on?

I'm feeling it too OP. I can do most things, but don't want to do them all. Sometimes I would just rather have some help. Nothing like 2 people working toward the same goal, whatever that may be.

Not quite the same as trying to lift the washing machine.

Tip for quilt cover turn it inside out and then place at one end and pull it over quilt the right way. Take your bread out the night before.

I live in a small place and couldn't find one that wasn't big and hard to move so I built the wall unit myself.

I sure have I rewired the plug on my vaccuum cleaner, build a wall shelf in my kitchen. And I built a latice picnic looking table for my plants.
I did rewire one lamp bulb socket, that was interesting. I waited each time I rewired something to see if it caught fire when I plugged it up. I don't totally trust that I know what I am doing. I just paid attention when I took it apart to put it back the same way.laugh uh oh laugh
