Hello ladies,

Yes I'm new here, and to this online dating thing as well.

I filled in the profile, added a few pictures, and might add more ... If there is any room for improvement please tell me.

Also, how can someone convince someone else their intentions are sincere, it's not easy to show trust digitally and with all those scammers and other idiots online. roll eyes

Anyway ... Any questions, you know where to find me.

Welcome Numen.

Enjoy the EU forums, I hope you will.

Convincing a person that you are sincere? It is hard, not bcause of the scammers, but because of people being so suspicious.

Best of luck.

I sure have wink

I even send out an email or two ... I might be somewhat fast there, but I don't like to linger too much I guess it's to do with my job, I need to make quick decisions sometimes dunno

The thing is, you can see people read your email, now I don't expect them to answer immediately... But I would like people to respond either way, I don't expect everyone I like to like me back, but just tell me then... Or is that too much to ask ?

I'm not looking to get married on the spot, don't always fear the worst, I like to go out for drinks, or grab a bite to eat.

But ... I have patience, another perk of my job, it requires loads of patience cool

Thanks for asking by the way ... And sorry for the extensive answer laugh

Oh no apology necessary.

It is hard when we begin to approach people, and we are left with little response or none at all.

I have no fast and quick way to address this, only time and patitence with it all, as you have already pointed out.

Another thing is that, I was never really here for meeting a person, mainly for the forums, so I guess my being here was not dependant on meeting a partner.

The forums are the place where people can see you, how you think and a chance for you to get out how you feel about certain things.
I think you are going to be fine, your profile is good, you are chatty and nice, there will be much interest, always is when there is a new person.

Also I do think that the 'what you are looking for' is hard to fill in.

We all know what we want, but sometimes to articualte that is hard and can look a bit clinical.

Here in the EU, we have fun and the dating side of it is not very evident in the forums, just a group of friends who know each other quite well and we just have a fun time, with some seriousness thrown in.

What sort of things do you like to do?

Oh ... I like to do loads of things, mainly have a drink in a nice pub or grab a bite to eat ... Talk, have fun ... Go for walks, I love to travel, or have a short weekend, day trips... But I also love going to the movies, or rent one and stay at home with some munchies ...

Like I said ... Loads of things

So no jumping off bridges, out of planes?

I am joking, all perfectly great things that most of us love to do.

Yes, loads of things.

Ha ... But you said things I loved doing ... Jump of a bridge I've done, doesn't mean I love it wink

I'm adventurous though cool

Well adventure is good.

Although I never have jumped out of a plane.

Or jumped off a bridge.

And I have no overwhelming desire to.

But I have a girlfriend who loves that sort of stuff.

I'm thinking about the jumping out of the airplane stuff ... Not sure yet, not that I'm scared, I just need to find the time needed to invest in that, because I would like to do it correct, not just a one time thing maybe dunno

Your girlfriend sounds great, send her my way rolling on the floor laughing
