Hi SB

I do actually.

Now you come to mention it, especially when I am at the checkout.

I often think, to myself, she is single, she has a family of four and he is alone.

I had a student the other day, he went shopping and came back with a box of tampons.

He spent hours reading the information leaflet and asked me to explain the pictures to him.

He is Russian, the leaflet was in German and it was all I could do to keep a straight face.

Hi. I check out the carts too. Sometimes I see something in a cart that I forgot to pick up.

And how about when you see people with a cart full of expensive meat and then they pay for it with food stamps. Grrrrrr frustrated

And when you see a man walking around with a carry basket instead of a cart you know he's single and just picking up things he needs to get buy.

That's so funny that you had to explains the tampon pictures. You have guts girl.

I have 45 male students from the ages of 11-18, they are fascinated with tampons.

Oh yes, I understand you, I love the carts where there is a little food and then piled high with bottles of wine.

But the ones that I really feel for and could cry, are the elderly people, who have a basket, and you can tell they are alone, I just want to adopt them, the little ones, who look sad, I want to hug them and take them home to my crazy house for dinner and make them smile.

Actually, no, I've never found myself doing this...nor did I know others did it. laugh

The only thing I peek into the carts of others for is to see how many items everyone has as I look for the best checkout lane.

Oh, I agree with you on the elderly ones. I feel the same about veterans who have been givin the shaft in our country. I was just talking to my daughter this weekend about how I wish I could help a veteran but if you give them money you don't know if they will go to the nearest bar. I'd rather take them for a meal but as much as I'm leary of strangers they could be afraid of me too. You wouldn't believe how our government treats our veternas - the very people that put their life on the line to save their a--.
