when you die and you leave this world and truly believe that jesus christ died on the cross for your sins and is your personal savior you have nothing to fear ...your faith lets you know where you are going to end up..i choose to believe i will live with jesus christ for all of eternity....this is why i have strong faith in life after death....i have seen relatives and friends come back to me after they have passed on....i have kissed them in a dream and my friends it was real when you can taste the lipstick the next morning....

Dusty45: I have similar ideas, Dru. For some reason, we may have
some kind of awareness beforehand that we are making a
transition.

perhaps we've made the transition many times, another stop along the path of spiritual instruction, aquire knowlage, downlode it to its abstract elements, depart with said knowlage to our next plane of existance or incarnation. since our source
energy, "god", however one describes the source of things ,cant experience things in physical form, we being a piece or spark from this source energy aquire experience then its abstracted lesson is stored, the collective experience from every incarnation will be revealed as total enlightenment when we've achieved or mission.angel

We may have had other life experiences.

Other 'ideas' we have had in manifestation of our learning.
Maybe those people we recognize here are from other life
experiences and we wonder sometimes, "How do I know
that person?, or, "They glanced and smiled at me and
I feel like I should know them."

i agree, it is said when "re-incarnated" (not all reincarnate)
it is generally in the same geographical area of the previous incarnation. hence the chance for fleeting recognition. or deja
vu.

I may have different beliefs/perceptions about crucifixion.
So, it might be much too controversial to state that here.
Sin in my view is a mistaken belief and a belief that
can be corrected.

Resurrection in my view is where we recognize the Spirit once more.

I am no Holy roller, but when others bash people of faith.. that is one of my biggest pet peeves!!

If faith and/or religion gives anyone comfort when thinking/wondering about death.. how can anyone bash them for it!!

To me this shows such a lack of any compassion, Like saying..How dare you have any comfort if I don't have.
You should be just as miserable as I amdoh doh

Death can be a very scary topic for many people,
So if they find anything that gives the peace or comfort about facing it.. we should be congratulating them not bashing them.professor

I'm sorry if there has been any kind of misunderstanding.
I was trying to state that my ideas would be considered
controversial. comfort
Not anyone elses. My apologies if this came across wrong.
Truly not bashing anyone. Maybe, only myself. blues

Yes.. was answering this question.
People of faith do believe so.

Was not saying you were bashing.. there are just many here on CS that do.

Ok. Yes, we all feel quite strongly about our
beliefs. It runs deep to the soul. I respect
that so entirely. Those that are believers, those
that are non-believers, those that are wondering...
There are even so many depths and levels to those
beliefs. It would be compassionate to allow all
of the ideas instead of having the conflict. teddybear

i also agree with you, i'm saying much the same thing that all the worlds religious texts are alluding to, i've often felt that there is nothing more profound than the proposition of god and the universe, and its spoken or taught in remedial terminology.
when we turn on a lamp its not only as simple as hitting a switch, there are so many things that go into it such as the production of electricity and its distribution, same for the concept of god and or a creator, whats between the lines, maybe that is the discussion we are having.

Dusty45: Hi Friends

I find it so interesting your thoughts on the subject.
See, that wasn't so bad, was it...

Everyone has their special thoughts about what happens
to them when it's their time. Not quite sure why it
popped into my head. (?)

You have put a lot of thought into this - rasgumby, and
I admire that. Our being here is of significance and
this way, rasgumby, you are showing that you value what
life here has given you.

doh I was beginning to seriously wonder if anyone could have a serious thread..grin

I guess it took a special lady to make a special post..hug

Your mother s spirit was ready to go and she died peacefully,i can say.

This is no reflection on Dustys Mother but my Father had a most peaceful death, he simply stopped breathing, but he was a very cruel and nasty man so I dont believe this theory.

Dusty45: A rather fearful question to some, but curious...

I was wondering what goes through the mind of a person
who is consciously ready to make the transition, those
that are ready to pass on.

Do you think that they are not able to focus anymore?
Are they through with manifesting or making things in
this life as we know it?

Do some of you believe that there is life beyond this
world as we understand it?

Or, do you believe that this is the only life experiece
that is available?

I would think a look back on ones life and all that has gone on...and whether or not they have made peace within themselves...before they go.....angel
