Surely, you must have met more people at their sober, than them drunk, and I bet you've met lot more people who were drunk but friendly, than drunk and unfriendly, and definitely not every sober soul has been unfriendly, far from it. You surprise me with that statement.

Well it´s certainly true that beer goggles can heighten physical attractiveness, not for long though.
But Smokey, I´ve met lots of nasty drunks, perhaps friendly is at that stage just before complete inebriation?

Those must be the 'friendly' drunks who dont get morose and endup in a fight or maudling. But I think friendly drunks outnumber the mean drunks.
The soberiety act is actually a mirror refection of happy drinking times. It's the withdrawal; the crashing hangover; the worry what they may have said or how they may have behaved. This most well expressed when a company or a bank have had their annual (or Christmas) dinner - oh what chummerie at the dinner. But very low profiles the next day at work.

I avoid flirting with serving staff wherever I go. I'm friendly and polite, but don't go any further.
I'm sure they get tired of all the drunken boneheads that figure they're god's gift to women hitting on them. They're doing their job, and shouldn't have to put up with any extra BS, serving some of those letcherous creatures is hard enough without the added stupidity.
On second thought, I'll just get a case of beer and come home...alone. At least I don't have to worry about chewing my own arm off in the morning.
