I was working in McDonald's in 1991 when a real certifiable jerk walked in and started ordering his food.
I can't remember what set me off that day but I remember that he kept acting assy, criticizing my every moves and treating me like a third-world worker who oughta have licked his boots, or something to that effect.
I took my apron off and threw it at him and said: " Ya want your food, make it and get it your-damn-self, you SOB" and I walked out of the restaurant.
Did I think I needed him or McD's? I don't remember but I found another job the very next day moving from 4.25 an hour to 7.75 doing nothing but watching a building and completing my studies at the same time.
My message: Don't let ANYONE treat you the way you don't like to be treated. Do not let fear imprison you into a crappy job or a crappy relationship.

Yes, but not exactly in those terms.
My oldest son had a SEVERE allergic reaction and had to be rushed to the ER, well needless to say, I FORGOT to call in at work. Anyway, when I showed up he called me into his office and proceeded to run his mouth. I was one of his most faithful employees and had good quality control as well. By the time he got through I told him to take his job because my CHILDREN come first! And walked out. Two weeks laters he called me and apologized and begged me to come back. I did, BUT with the understanding that any emergencies with my kids come FIRST.

Absolutely. I did it at a couple of jobs when I was younger. One in particular was a waitressing job I had when I was 20. Felt pretty good, too!

Yes. I had a boss, head of company call me a shmuck in front of all workers. He started to leave, I pulled him off to side and said, "If he ever called me a shumck again, he and I will go at it." I thought for sure I lost my job. He just walked away. He never called me that again. Didn't lose job either.

Yes I did it to my sister about two weeks ago.
She always wants to be the one who knows everything in her mind and world she is always right and she expects everyone else to listen to her she talks over people when they try to share their point of view or opion.
I had a long tired day at work and when I went to her house to pick up my daughter she started in again. I told her I had had it with her I did not know what she had been taking all of these years to make her think she was so smart and everyone else should always take her advice on every subject but she was about to be 30 and it was about time she SHUT the freakin up sometimes and let someone else talk maybe she could actually learn something. That there are smarter people on earth then her and maybe she needs to stick a sock in it. I told her that she was judgemental of other, critical of other opion, lazy when it comes to hard work, and so spoiled she was usless.
Her attitude has gotten better.

i worked for this high maintenance boss. he calls me even on weekends or at 2am to do paperwork for him.. he bad mouths me to other consultants during their meetings, he yells, tells me horrible things about me, most times i have to come in on sundays just to make sure he doesnt do a tantrum on mondays, or i'm there until 10pm each night only to be told i have to be there at 7am the next day.. etc. etc... then my mom got terminally sick so i applied for 3 weeks off so i can be with her.. he did not approve it my leave application.. so the next day just before his huge media launch, i said i quit as of today and walked off. his face went beet red with anger but couldnt say anything! HAH! anyway, lucky i did.. coz my mom passed on 4 days after i arrived in the hospital. so, yeah, i lost a career - but i gained my self respect and peace of mind.
