Lonliness is such a horrible feeling...

Well, I have been divorced now for over 4 yrs. I have never had to live alone until now. I find it hard to enjoy myself. I do have the "hope" that one day? God will find my match. Yet, alone ness is different than being lonely. I just feel like I am in a place in my life where I must begin to love myself. Then, perhaps I wouldn't be so lonely.

RE: comments on poetry corner pet peeve...

I agree with redex on commenting being good manners. But I am the world worse at commenting back. I forget and have commented after a year of my poem being down and bought it back to lifelaugh There is no answer that I know of. dunno But I could make a small suggestion on what I would do if I were you. I would not feed my pet peeve, those things can grow really bigwow Starve it till it disappears. Ya know Mr Stuff I am just completely full of bs and you are right I find myself digging looking for poems I have missed but life goes on. teddybear

RE: comments on poetry corner pet peeve...

Understand what you say hedistuff I often wondered myself what to do, I do not come on here everyday but it seems a bit rude not to thank people who have read and put a comment. To do that collectively or one by one??? Of course this is not just a poetry site and friendships albeit net ones are formed by the comments too. I think a big read marker saying only one poem a day or something may help???
Oh well off to find a lawn to mowlaugh Take care now and thanks for the welcome back too.

comments on poetry corner pet peeve...

after writing this pet peeve, I went to poet's corner where I saw that one of andrew's old riddles had surfaced with a new comment. seems as if my ideas may possibly stifle the back and forth mirth (how I/we love our mirth) that currently exists in such a post. or would it? any ideas or is this much ado about nothing? nevermind, it's off my chest. I'll go mow now...

comments on poetry corner pet peeve...

we have many more writers on this site these days. sometimes I wish that comments did NOT bring poems back to the top of page one. lately when I log on, it seems more and more like I'm seeing the same poems by the same people displayed there. some writers, to name goodguy for one, never comment on their own submissions. some others may comment once or twice on their own works. while still others comment every time that there is a new comment by others. I notice many writers that will delay their comments on their own works for a day or so, and maybe only do this once or twice. I would guess that they do this so as to not hog the limelight continuously. this practice seems to work out fine, but my thought is for writers comments on their own poems to NOT bring them back to fore, nor count as views for that matter. From time to time, I myself have commented on some of my past work to bring it back to fore, most often in response to another writer's subject. So, I am guilty as well. I don't know what the solution is. It's just that lately a writer will post four, five, ten, poems in only a short time, then the comments begin, then the comments on comments begin, and their stuff remains at or near the top for a day or so. It's boring. I think the solution is to never bring poems back to fore, or for writer's comments on their own work to not bring them back to fore, or for me to just forget about it, go nap for a while and then go finish mowing the lawn...hedi

Goodbye

Dear friends,

I'm not going to write a pathetic "goodbye" note...i just want you to know that it was a privilege for me to be able to share with you some of my works and i consider myself lucky to have the chance to read and enjoy yours. Has been an incredible adventure, full of emotions and excitement and i do feel enriched by your comments, appreciations and kind words.
Being DaBomb was also a nice adventure, but the time has come for DaBomb to walk away...and allow the man behind the nickname to review his life, his ways and to consider a path. I'm not sure is the right path. Is just a path i have to follow, hoping that at the end of it i will rediscover the essential me.

I want to express my gratefull thoughts to each and everyone of you, those who stood beside me, to those who friendly emailed me and i assure you i will never ever forget your contributions as proofs of a deep humanity and compassion.

I wish you all a great time here on PC and a great life out there, "Good luck" with your opera and may God bless you all !

Thank you very much,
Kind regards and respect,
DaBomb

Edinburgh

Ramsay Gardens

is a block of sixteen private apartment buildings in the Castlehill area of Edinburgh, Scotland. They stand out for their red ashlar and white harled exteriors, and for their prominent position, most visible from Princes Street.

Developed into its current form between 1890 and 1893 by the biologist, botanist and urban planner Patrick Geddes, Ramsay Garden started out as Ramsay Lodge, a block of Georgian "garden homes" built by the poet and wig-maker Allan Ramsay the Elder in 1733.

RE: Hello my Family of Poets

i am glad we have this to share but i respectfully disagree w LB. sometimes it's really hard write a poem, and it takes a lot of work, most poems don't just "come to me". ;-)
agoodguy2have

RE: What inspires you?

LB, many have said alot already...i, like kickit, seem to find lines along the road, to the point i have to pull over and scratch something. too, poems may start as nothing more than a turn of phrase i like, or come largely fully formed. hard to say.

like rob, i get inspiration everywhere!, i have noticed though that i am more inspired when watching others do their art, namely at concerts, plays, dance, etc.

i also note that i really like the feeling i get, inside, when i'm flowing a good poem. when i force too hard, it's not that good, so sometimes you just gotta wait and be patient, still, as andrew has told me in the past, primarily you just gotta WRITE.

;-)

RE: What inspires you?

Well everything inspire me; the weather, my mood, people state of mind, sadness , happiness, separation, attachment, sunset, wisdom
Everything I write has a story behind my poems,
I admit I don't label myself as an outstanding poet as I am unskilled to master this art as well as you all do.
Thank you all for your comments, sharing it with you my poet friends all around the world, make my voyage travelling to another dimension.
Lots of love and sunny thought from Monaco.

Metaphysics defined

Metaphysics is the branch of philosophy dealing with theories of existence and knowledge. It could also be defined as the branch of philosophy that is concerned with explaining the fundamental nature of being and the world.

What inspires you?

laugh laugh It makes sense kickit, I know when I'm on plane I'm always inspired because of the time to think of recent events. I was just about to fall asleep on my last flight and I started going over the images that I saw of the accident that Robert and I had witnessed on the way to the airport. I suddenly knew what to write - 'He Flew' took me 10 minutes because the words were almost all there when I started writing - didn't get much sleep after that!

thumbs up

RE: What inspires you?

For myself LadyBee inspiration just comes to me due to an event or
special scene or the need to exspress one's feelings, but ultimately I think inspiration comes from the need to be creative which can be exspressed in writing, poetry, painting and any of the hundreds of creative disciplines displaying ones feelings and thoughts. Sometimes I just sit down and force myself to do a poem...but of course this usually results is something that is work rather than a loabour of love.
Xmonaco
