OUTRAGEOUS

RE: Gladiator

I love this movie! I saw on cable once, and was mesmerized...then I saw it was for sale at a discounted price, with the behind the scenes DVD! I just had to have it.

Russell Crowe is MAGNIFICENT in this movie : "“My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, Commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.”

THE BEST MOVIE QUOTE EVER!!!!

RE: vacancy

Own it, thought it was much better than a lot of my movie going friends. Give it a try at least, you never know.

the way William Holden at the end of the movie says "YOU" still shakes me to the core.his facial expression with just this one word is incredible..

RE: The Phantom of the Opera

I love this movie and the music.

RE: The Longest Yard

Sandler butchered this 70's cult hit. It almost seems that he wants to be a jock but was never good enough at sports. His other movies prove this theory with his other hapless films like "The Waterboy" and "Happy Gilmore". He is overrated BIG TIME.thumbs down

RE: Big Daddy

ADAM SANDLER IS NOT FUNNY. NEVER HAS BEEN AND NEVER WILL BE. HE HAS THE COMIC DELIVERY OF AN AGING POSTAL CARRIER. HE DEFINATELY OVER EXTENDED HIS 15 MINUTES OF FAME.thumbs down

RE: The Wizard of Oz

Superb movie. A timeless classic. They should make a documentary on the making of this epic. Imagine how this film would have been if the preferred choices were cast such as Shirley Temple in the lead role and Buddy Ebsen as the Tin Man. There is an updated version of this film incidently called "Tin Man". I saw the trailer for it. It can't surpass the original because it loses it's charming quality if the first.thumbs up

RE: In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale

Worst movie made. No wonder there wasn't a huge theatrical release to this bomb of a movie. I couldn't buy Burt Reynolds as a king in the era of the dark ages. Bad casting, if I ever saw one.thumbs down

RE: Dawn of the Dead

This is a good movie! More the concept then n e thing n what all the character are goin thru. I can relate to everything about it from fillin like the only 1 actually alive on earth and, or losing the 1s you love, up to how the few people you know are crazy and reall depend on you.

RE: True Romance

One of the best ever scenes in any movie - christopher walken and dennis hopper. Hopper knows he's going to get killed so he explains to Walken the true decendancy of sicilians because they are so proud. I don't think it is racist (although it comes across as that) it is about the vanity of the sicilians. Two of the finest actors at their best and obviously rubbing off on each other. excellent

RE: Pretty Woman

Funny but it is only women who wrote that they like/love the movie. I wonder where the romantic cute rich guys are.
Excellent unfoldment of all characters as it is in life-it capturesa a piece of real life. Yes, love happens to glue two nice-all-around people together- Law of Atrraction abounds.
Like in the song- just remember that in the winter, far beneath the deepest snos, lies the seed that with the sun's love, in the spring becomes the Rose- they are bothe Roses!
I outgrew my youth affection to drama movies as I got to realize the power of the Law of Attraction(what you are looking at and whatever you notice in others, self, movies, gets to stick to you!Isn't this educational?)and now I also like Sleepless in Seattle, You've got mail, Serendipity,The Lake house, The Proposal, No Reservationa,The Crown's affair, Notting Hill,Love Affair,When Sally met Harry, Ghost,Mirror has two faces,Forest Gump,Shine, Love indeed,6days 7 nights, Sabrina, this kind of uplifting movies for the soul- Love is all there is; the rest is all but illusions, actually.

RE: Lost In translation

Sorry, I could not appreciate this movie, I thought it was one of the most boring movies I have ever suffered through. I also can't believe the director received an award for this movie. thumbs down

RE: Vicky Cristina Barcelona

I like Woody, but I hate Javier Bardem, his uncle Juan Antonio Bardem was a well known Stalinist.
