This is beautiful- wonderfully written & so much care, wisdom in the words. And must be a compassionate poet to compose this for someone in need... I've been there- horrendous insomnia from an unknown physical cause at the time, and in more recent years to this day, that hard-to-tame at times anxiety feeling. To chat, to pray, to have someone to pray for you - great advice, great poem Sleep tight
Thank you Paloma dear, Twas your sleeplessness and resulting poem "Unknown Fear" that prompted me, to write from the heart. Words really just for you, but if it helped others, that was a bonus

Thank you dear, its sweet of you, I do appreciate all that you do but if your words helped SCatlyn, she is welcomed to share this comfort.God bless you.
Redex.. Thank you for your comment. 1809 my GGGrandfather was born at Mile End near Glanton. Worked at Newbiggin-by-sea. Married a lass at Morpeth. who must have passed away early in the marriage, as next we find him as a widower marrying near Fatfield Co Durham to one Eleanor Ferens. His name John Russell. Just one of lifes coincidences.
Niah Thank you for your words. Paloma and I have a wonderful rapport, but I felt dreadful, that I had slept so well, whilst she was struggling, to drift, to slumberland.

Well now Scher I live inbetween both towns, small world. Newbiggin coast line was being eroded by the sea so big bolders were brought in and sand would you believe. If the king could not stop the waves I doubt these measures will not last long in time I mean. Morpeth even in those days always got flooded with the water rolling off the Northumbrian hills and yes 2 years ago it happened again. They will once again promise to put things right. Nothing changes! Thought you might like that bit of info, happiness to you and palamo
I posted the words here on public display, and hoped, the verse may give guidance, for others similarly placed, those with active minds, preventing the onset of their sleep. Glad it was of help.

I'm glad to see i'm not the only one that agonizes about 'hurting' my woman..., cool, loved it...
Earlgreytea Not a good feeling, knowing that one whom we love is sleepless, while we cruelly sleep on, seemingly oblivious, and probably even worse snoring relentlessly. Glad some one else has shared this type of experience.

I'm still in bed
Slept like a log
Felt as a hog..
Sometimes I have the feelings too...
Nice one!

Not a good feeling, to know that one has slept soundly, whilst your dearest has walked the floor.
