And my delight
Paloma is here,
After a long flight

She is here, she is here
She has arrived!
Can I make it clear,
She is truly, by my side

The plane was 40 mins overdue
A wait, that caused me quite a stew
Patiently, I stood ,with single rose
My love to declare , ere I froze !

With fright, or shy and teenage coyness.
After many months,.. now a nervous wait.
Would I step forward with manly boldness ?
To meet my Indian Eastern mate

I caught a glimpse gorgeous Gold and Tan
Clad in“Churidar kurta” to claim her man
I stood in awe with mouth agape
Stunned by her beauty..
She passed me by, ….to almost escape

She was looking on the other side
hurrying ,with luggage trolley
She turned into the crowd to hide
I must hasten, goodness ! goregeous ! gosh ! golly!

Heart racing I soon overtook
From behind, I tapped her shoulder
She turned her head and with a loving look
Her broad smile couldn’t have been bolder.

Her arms she threw about my neck
Our lips met in a blissful kiss
All nerves were gone, and what the heck
A long moment shared, with delightful bliss

A kiss,
not to miss,
just sheer bliss.

While others watched we clasped
Each other, as long time friends
While a few I believe, may have gasped
We embraced, for an eternity
It seemed a very very long minute,
we were not aware
Of those who stood
and gawped to stare.
