My Hometown

Not long ago i had a chance to go
to my hometown. The town where i grew up,
and went to school, my first love, and
first kiss. I thought I was so smart
back then.......

So many memories were made there. Mostly
good but some bad also. But while I was
walking down the familiar streets, i recalled
so,so many wonderful memories.....

Passing by the house where i used to live,
made me stop a while. just quietly remembering
all the fun times we had there.......

I didnt know the people i passed on the way
but they felt familiar like back in the day.

I did run in to my old high school teacher,
who after talking with her a while,
remembered me! imagine that! after 50 years!

She was now very old and walked with a cane,
but the twinkle in her eye was just the same.

That experience that day made me thankful
for who I have become. Because i wouldnt be
the lady i am today, without those times.

I love thinking back to those days, when there
was so much merriment and fun.....

But i dont live in the past, just like to revisit
sometimes, today is a wonderful day of which
i am a part. Today i will make it the best day
because today is all we have. yesterday is gone,
and tomorrow is yet to come. So live each day
as if it were your last, because we never know
what will happen tomorrow.........

Say what needs to be said to those you love,
say I love you often, im sorry when necessary,
and I forgive you when necessary. just say what
you need to say, dont wait for tomorrow
Happy Valentines Day

Full of promise and joyful, mingled with sadness of course, just the way I like it. Memories of past, even good or sorrowful, should never overshadow our present. Present should always be about hope and longing for better. This morning I am feeling fine, because of you, my dear, write on and enjoy life in your poems and in real, and be happy as I feel happy now. You made this morning. Thank you.
