The Chase

Pursuing you through valleys
and fields where you hide amongst
the sweet sour refrains of lost love

Why do you run? You hold onto the world
as a jewel..a jewel whose sheen is fading
with the ravages of time

Your heart is not safe amid the wolves
who appear as sheep

Come now,my love, before the night is
far spent and the dawn takes you unawares

It is not to late even though you flee
with wounds and scars of a world weary
heart

'Come, I say..' I will lead you to safty
where the feast is about to begin!

You will be clothed in white rainment and
walk on streets of gold and you will carry
the septer of peace into the great city..

And great it is!~

It is so nice to be chased like this when we flee with wounds and scars of weary heart, it is so nice to hear reassuring words calling in the night before the night is over and death takes us unawares. It is never too late to stop our flight and hearken to the words bringing salvation. Thank you, Cafetwo, for sharing this promise with us!heart beating bouquet
