Binding my hands together I fall down and pray
Lord please give me strength to make it through another day
But my dead body lies cold below my feet
And my spirit is standing over me
His shadow blocking the light of my sun
But even in darkness I know light will overcome
Time quietly whispers slowing down with every tick
And every tock that passes brings me closer to losing my grip
If there is a heaven then there surely is a hell
As it is said this is a place we already dwell
But perseverance guides me through my own land of waste
Through His body piercing I have been saved by grace
Holding on to my prayers letting go of what I pray for
Knowing that someone else needed it more
A battle cannot be won if its not fought for someone else
Without a reason to love could I live only for self
