Lil christmas tree with lights so bright, shine your star for me tonight Let mommy and daddy not fight so much Let them hug and kiss with a gentle touch Oh twinkling lights wash away my tears Fill this little girls stocking with joy not fears Lil tree I must whisper now cause I hear shouting in the other room Oh twinkle twinkle come real soon I must hurry now to my secret room!
A very challenging poem...in so many interpretive ways...how aware are we of the world through the eyes of someone so young? I hope the Christmas angel takes this little girl under her wing....
Cafe...this is a very sad story...unfortunately it is real to many little girls in all corners of the world.. Thanks for sharing this... a reminder that material things is not what everyone longs for .. not even in the eyes and heart of a little girl.

So touching and so deep Jim. No one should go through life coiling in fear because of lack of compassion specially to the young mind of the innocent. But such is life, I guess.
Nice great write if only to teach us lessons in life.

Little tree wipe away this child's heart felt tears and bring her Christmas joy!
She seeks not goodies or a self sought children's toy
End this childs sadness, ease her parents, love one's fights
They so overflow into her secret locked up heart and into her private secret room
Children sometimes do not speak, But they can overhear!
CafeTwo, very touching heart rendering Poem! Sounds like you've been there!
