The Liberty Bell

What if distance didn't matter
And dreams all over planet roamed
Our minds never in such a tatter
Where angry seas never foamed
When such sacred love be universal
Peaceful tribes live side by side
Never needing this much rehearsal
For spreading all such love worldwide
Watch for signs for that which brings
Something greater is then progressed
Symbolic an old cracked bell rings
When people were feeling surpressed

Hi, Yankee4you,
Never needing this much rehearsal... It does seem to be taking us a very long time for Peaceful tribes live side by side... But, with liberty's bell, hope survives.

We need more symbols in our country to rally our people around and remind them how hard won their liberty still is....

Y4Y pardon my ignorance but what is the origin of the liberty bell, I have enjoyed this poem very much.

Hi Yankee

For some reason John Philip Sousa's rousing march Liberty Bell came immediately to mind on reading this... A fine write -

Best wishes

Bill cheers
